"Ryan!" Riley exclaimed as she ran into her husband's arms as he instintively wrapped her in his muscular arms and then he went on to twirl her so she was standing next him with his hand still holding her in place as he spoke "I miss you too babe and where is Lia?" He asked as he kissed the top of her head
"The way you two have developed together is uncannily funny." She chuckled "I remember in high school when you went to the all boys school....Riley cried so much it was so funny." Her light chuckle turned into a full on laugh
Riley and Ryan were just standing there watching Lia laugh so hard, it was satisfying to see her let loose for once.
"Ryan you had to have been there." Lia said as she choked on a laugh " She cried because she thought you would end up becoming gay and come back home with a boyfriend." She continued "Lia please stop." Riley pleaded " He doesnt have to know that" she concluded
"Okay guys please stop we need to get into business." Miranda interrupted " I dont think Ryan should be here he was with Mason he might be planning something against us.....after all Mason is his bestfriend." She scoffed " Was my bestfriend." Ryan retorted "I stand with Lia on this one, what Mason did is wrong and I dont support what is wrong." He said in a somewhat annoyed tone "Ryan Relax, and where is Emma?" Riley asked
"She should have be right behin-" a loud interruption occurred "Mommy!" The little girl screamed as she ran into Riley's arms "I missed you" she exclaimed "I missed you too." It had been over 3 weeks since Riley saw Emma as she had been working on some new project and it baely gave her enough time to rest let alone see her daughter "Now go play with Miranda okay?"-------- "Okay." She ran over to a not too thrilled Miranda
"Okay now that, that's settled lets go to the study and we can talk there." Lia said as sh2 accended the stairs with Ryan and Riley closely behind her.
In the study
"So what you are trying to say is Mason doesnt want to go to court?" Lia asked confused by what Ryan was saying "yes he said he wants to end things peacefully and without a trial but his dad thinks its a necessity to go to court." He said all in one breath
" But that is bull--." Riley was interrupted by a knock on the door "Come in." Lia said firmly and in came Kono, one of Lia's maids who was more of a friend than a maid " Mrs Gi- Ms. Cruz a package came for you." The younger woman said as she planted a box in front of Lia " Okay Kono, Thank you and please call me Lia." She said as she dismissed Kono sensing her uncomfortability caused by Riley and Ryan's presence
Lia opened the package and found a blue and white onesie and an envelope under it. With a stamp that she more than recognized, it was from Mason "Riley can you open this envelope." She said in a somewhat hoarse manner "Okay." She skeptically agreed as she went around the table and grabbed the envelope from Lia, she then ripped it open and pulled out a stack of papers
"Its the divorce papers, He signed them."
