Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage.
Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they're never weakness.

I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night, unsure of what had roused me from my sleep. There were no vivid dreams or startling sounds that had interrupted my rest. Letting out a tired sigh, I ran my hand across my face, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.

Feeling a thirst nagging at me, I reached for the bottle of water that I kept within reach on the bedside table. Taking swift gulps, I quenched my parched throat, the cool liquid soothing my senses. With the refreshing sensation lingering, I felt a need to embrace the tranquility of the night.

Making my way towards the balcony, I stepped out into the darkness, drawn by the allure of the nocturnal world. The stillness enveloped me as I leaned against the balcony railing, observing the ethereal glow of the moon above. The silence whispered secrets to me, inviting introspection and reflection.

Lost in the serenity of the moment, I allowed my thoughts to wander freely, contemplating the mysteries of life. The night sky, adorned with stars, stretched out before me, reminding me of the vastness of the universe and the infinite possibilities it held.

Taking a deep breath, I absorbed the calmness of the night, finding solace in its embrace. It was a chance to let go of worries, to find peace in the present, and to appreciate the beauty that surrounded me, even in the darkest hours.

Startled by the sounds of slapping, my instincts kicked in, and I immediately turned my attention towards Oli's balcony. However, to my dismay, her suite was not visible from my vantage point. Concern and urgency washed over me as I contemplated the situation unfolding before me.

Without a moment's hesitation, I hurried towards the entrance of her suite, determined to intervene and help Oli. As I approached, a glimpse of the scene inside confirmed my worst fears. Oli was bound to a chair, and an unknown man stood in front of her, engaged in suspicious activities with her laptop.

Taking cover behind a nearby pillar, I weighed my options. It was clear that I needed to save Oli, but I had to strategize my approach carefully. I assessed the situation, considering the man's position, the layout of the room, and any potential obstacles that might hinder my rescue attempt.

Drawing on my wits, I formulated a plan. I needed to act swiftly and discreetly. Perhaps I could find a way to distract the intruder, create a diversion, or even enlist the help of others nearby. Safety was paramount, both for Oli and myself, so I had to choose my actions wisely.

As adrenaline coursed through my veins, I resolved to do whatever it took to rescue Oli from this perilous situation. With a steely determination, I prepared myself to execute my plan, hoping that my actions would be enough to free her from harm's way.

That man could be carrying a gun.

As I hurried back to my suite, my attempt to contact Nash went unanswered. Without wasting another moment, I dialed Theoden's number, hoping he would pick up. To my relief, he answered, and I quickly explained the distressing situation I had stumbled upon. Theoden assured me that he would mobilize security and join me shortly, urging me not to take any reckless actions.
