Chapter 3: richard carter

Athena walks into the great hall and sees Pandora smiling at her, she walks over and sits down Pandora looks at her confused "you missed the sorting , there's way more ravenclaw girls now where have you been?"
"Oh I ran into someone" before Athena can mention the boys she gets interrupted by Dumbledore standing up
"Welcome to another school year at hogwarts, now before we get distracted by our excellent feast I would care to introduce new defence against the art teacher professor keys, good luck professor" Dumbledore points to a man in a suit, handsome face, late 30s early 40s, everyone claps."Now let's dig in" the table fills with food and everyone digs in.

After Athena finishes her dinner she feels a tap on her shoulder
"What" she turns to see Marlene tapping her looking miserable
"Come look at this" she drags Athena to the gryffindor table and sits her down "look at what they are saying" she hands her the daily prophet

There has been debates in the minestry about 'muggleborns and halfbloods' being separated from pureblood students. Abraxas malfoy governor of hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry puts out a argument saying "my poor boy has to go to school with these children who aren't pureblood, he says they are nothing but utter chaos! I think it is outrageous that Albus Dumbledore is being so kind. He is letting Hogwarts go to the dogs. I've also heard there's been a haunted tree near the school called the whomping willow and Albus Dumbledore is letting this tree still stand ? What is happening to everyone today?" Although Abraxas Malfoy has many people standing with him there are many against.

Athena shuts the paper "that's rubbish, Lucius Malfoy causes all the trouble in Hogwarts, he's complaining every second" she rolls her eyes
"You don't think they'll actually get rid of halfbloods and muggleborns do you ?" Mary says
"Of corse not, no one listens to him. He just walks around in a fancy black suit" lily grabs the paper and looks at it "you know I've never liked this daily prophet it's utter nonsense, that Rita woman is dreadful" lily looks in disgust
"Wait what did they say about the whomping willow" James and the boys get in on the rest of the conversation "what's wrong with the whomping willow" James looks at the boys nervously
"Who cares about a stupid tree anyways" Marlene snatches the paper out of James hand "they can't just get away with putting down muggle borns and halfbloods and act like it's normal! Why does everybody care about blood status anyways, it means nothing" Marlene says
Athena peaks over her shoulder to see Richard carter the keeper on the ravenclaw quidditch team walking her way "oi lovely rabbit" he smiles at Athena "quidditch practise tonight yeah we booked the pitch, you should have seen Lucius Malfoy's face when I beat him to it, we're against slytherin next Saturday so they won't know what hit 'em" he laughs as he looks at lily Evan's pale face "you look like you've been kicked in the face what's wrong with you" he points at her
"Have you not seen the daily prophet they killed another muggle family, they lived in London" lily puts down the newsletter
Sirius interrupts "Wait can we go back to you calling Athena lovely rabbit" Sirius points out "why" he looks at her
"You don't think she reminds you of a white rabbit" Richard starts squishing his way next to Athena separating her and Sirius "squish up squish up" he wiggles his way in
"Your a pain rich" Athena scotches over
"Richard carter" Richard leans over and shakes everyone's hand "keeper of the Ravenclaw team, I recognise you" he points to James "your the obsessive one on the pitch aren't you" Richard laughs
"What" James looks at him
"Oh you should hear what they others call you I mean-" Athena pinches him on they arm "OW, alright alright I'll shut up".
