07 - Let Me Sleep, Tiger.

"You didn't have to come for the shooting, Jimin. Just sending the car is enough." 

Park Jimin turned his head slightly and gave a big smile. "It's okay, Taehyung-ssi. I've never seen a big budget filming set so I actually wanted to come."

Taehyung was surprised to hear that. Jimin was the manager assigned to Taehyung by his company and there was no way they would send someone with no experience. His former manager had been with Taehyung for 5 years, but he had to leave due to a health issue.

"You've never been to a set before?" 

"Oh no, I've been to many. But nothing like your scale." Jimin's eyes shined with something that looked very close to adoration or worship. 

"It's just a set." Taehyung mumbled in a small voice. "Nothing big."

"You're too modest, Taehyung-ssi." Jimin replied while his face split into that beaming smile again. "This drama is said to be the biggest one in this half of the year. I'm sure it will bag many awards."

"Jimin!" Taehyung looked a little mortified. "The shooting just started. There's a long way to go. And you're already talking about awards."

"But that's just the truth, Taehyung-ssi. Even just you and Director Min Yoongi are enough to create a super hit drama. And we literally have the two hottest male and female idols as the cast too. This drama will be phenomenal."

Taehyung looked away from the window while a shy smile came on to his face. Jimin may have thought that it was because of his praises about Taehyung but that was far from the truth. 

Taehyung just couldn't contain his giddiness at the fact that Jimin called Jungkook as the hottest male idol in the country. That's the current title Jungkook has and Taehyung knows more than anybody else that it's absolutely true. 

"Besides, people are already going crazy over the teaser photos of you and Sana-ssi. They are dying over how good the two of you look together. They call you-"

"Stop the car!!"

The driver was so startled at that sudden command and he immediately pulled over. Both Taehyung and Jimin were forced forward by the sudden speed reduction and were able to hold on due to their seat belts only. 

"What- what's wrong?" Jimin's voice was barely audible as he struggled to speak due to the shock. 

Taehyung turned his head to get a better look at the fully tinted luxury vehicle they just passed. It was stopped on the side of the road and two men were standing next to it with worried faces. 

"That's Jungkook's manager." Taehyung turned back to Jimin and replied to his question. "It looks as if they have some trouble. Can you go and check, please?"

Jimin looked through the side mirror before looking back at Taehyung. "Jungkook's manager?"

"Yeah, his name is Jung Hoseok. Just check what's wrong."

Jimin gave a nod before getting out of the van. Taehyung watched as Jimin talked with Hoseok for about half a minute, before returning.

Taehyung opened the back door a little just as Jimin came closer. "What's happening?"

"Their van is having some mechanical issues. They are waiting to get a substitute vehicle."

"Ask Jungkook to come with us." Taehyung waited till Jimin gave a nod and closed the door, before addressing the driver. "Reverse the vehicle so that he doesn't have to walk much."

Taehyung watched through the side mirror as Jungkook got out of his van and walked towards Taehyung's one. Jimin walked in front of him and opened the door for him while Hoseok followed them.

Jungkook gave Taehyung a small smile before lowering his gaze and sitting next to him. Hoseok thanked Taehyung and assured Jungkook that he will come to the set as soon as possible.

Taehyung and Jungkook sat with sufficient space between them, and exchanged pleasantries so that it will not look weird. 

"Hello." Jimin turned around and tilted his head politely. "I'm Park Jimin, nice to meet to Jungkook-ssi."

"Nice to meet you too, Jimin-ssi." Jungkook greeted back politely too.

"What happened to the van, Jungkook-ssi?"

"Uhh… I don't know. It suddenly wasn't working properly so the driver pulled over. Didn't start after that." Jungkook sneaked a look at Taehyung. "Thank you for the ride, I didn't want to be late for the shooting."

"Don't worry." Taehyung answered with a soft smile. "We have plenty of time."

Few minutes passed in silence before Taehyung picked up his phone and opened his chat box.

"Baby, do you wanna come with me from tomorrow? I can easily get Jimin to pick us both."

The notification sound of an incoming message pulled Jungkook out of his thoughts and he looked at it.

"It's okay, Tae. This could have happened to anyone. Not a big deal."

A little pout came on to Taehyung's face as he read the reply.

"That's not what I meant. I'd love to go to work with you, together like this."

Jungkook smiled a bit at that.

"Ahh.. got it. But no, it'll only create trouble. Hobi hyung picked me from your apartment today. How would you explain that to Jimin-ssi?"

"Maybe you can go back to your unit after getting dressed up."

"And miss my I'm-off-to-work kiss?? No way!"

"Okay, baby. Whatever you like."

Jungkook looked up from his phone. Jimin seem to be minding his own business and the driver of course wasn't looking at them either.

"Tae.."

"Yeah?"

"Can you come closer a bit?"

Taehyung smiled softly before sliding over the seat a bit. Their shoulders weren't exactly touching but still close enough to feel the heat. Jungkook sighed quitely before leaning on to the backrest of the seat. He closed his eyes, mind already drifting to a peaceful state because of the presence of his boyfriend.

Taehyung of course, already knew that Jungkook was tired and little sleep deprived. He noticed the increasing darkness under the younger's eyes as well as the delay of him coming to bed. Even yesterday, Jungkook came to the apartment after midnight.

So he just let Jungkook rest, and was not surprised to notice his breathing turning slow and long, indicating that the younger had fallen asleep. When the van took a turn little sharply, Jungkook’s head swayed to the side and fell on to Taehyung's shoulder.

It was in a little awkward position so Taehyung slid over a bit more and placed Jungkook's head comfortably on his shoulder.

When Jimin turned to look at the Taehyung, he was suprised to see the younger actor sleeping soundly in that position. He looked at Taehyung with a question, to which Taehyung shook his head. 

"It's okay. He seemed tired. Let him be."

Jimin looked a little conflicted. It was his job to make sure the artist under his care is not troubled in any way. But it's not like he could go against when Taehyung himself said it was okay. 

Once they reached the place for the shooting, Taehyung gently shook Jungkook. "We are here, Jungkook-ssi. Wake up!"

It took little effort to wake Jungkook, as Taehyung knew it will. Jungkook stirred a bit only after few tries. 

"Wake up, Jungkook-ssi." Taehyung said again in a soft voice, while Jimin stood near the open door. 

"Hmmm.." Jungkook mumbled sleepily. "Five minutes more, tiger. Please.."

Taehyung quickly shook Jungkook little harder, before the younger let out something more in his sleepy state. Luckily for them, tiger was a nickname used only by Jungkook, so Taehyung was able to pass it off with a fake laugh.
