The deb tea party was officially over now and Belly and I were making our way down to the pool where Jere was lifeguarding.
"Okay, Belly I thought about it and I think I have a plan." I say to her.
"Really, what do you have in mind? I really don't want to go alone on my first date." She pleads with me.
"You won't okay." I reassure her. "All right, this is such a stupid plan though." I laugh. "I thought that there might be at least one attractive guy down by the pool, so if I see one I'll just ask them out."
"You would really do that for me?" Belly asks looking at me.
"Of course, Bells. We always have each other's backs, right?"
