After the almost kiss I had with Jeremiah he went back to his room and I tried to go to sleep but I couldn't. Belly still wasn't home but I'm sure she would be soon since I texted her that my date went, well, horrible. I lay in our bed just staring at the ceiling dumbfounded over the fact that I had almost kissed Jeremiah, my best friend, Jere, the guy who I have had a crush on since like forever. The creak of the door interrupts my thoughts and I look over and notice it's Belly.
"Y/n, are you asleep?" She whispers concerned sitting down on the bed next to me.
"No, I can't sleep." I huff.
"Oh god Y/n/n, I heard what happened from Steven, are you sure you're alright? He said that you were fine but I know when you're not."
"Bells, I'm fine I promise. Just a bit shaken up."
"I feel so guilty, I was the one who begged you to come with me and we weren't even together during the date." She says her voice quivering.
