This is a story that takes place in Jamaica. I wanted to be as authentic as possible, so there is Jamaican Patois used in the dialogue.
So, I used a mix of patois and English with more overt subtext to give you an idea of what is being said.
There will be four POVs within the story. The story will start with two and will then transition into four.
Also, there will be a subtext and overt presentation of certain bigotries in this story. I am not doing it for shock value. It is solely for the character arcs and plot development in the story. If you are a better writer and think I am doing a bad job at it, tell me, I love criticism. I won’t improve if you don’t speak up.
