"Only his arm is broken?" Tony mutters, "how is that possible... we hit him head on."

"Is he going yo be okay?" Happy asks, for what has to be the twentieth time in the past five minutes.

"Yes Happy, he will be fine," Tony says. "The worry is how fine he his... maybe its not a worry..." Tony goes back to examining Peter. "More like a question... You can go home Happy, its getting late. This is no way to spend your birthday. Peter will be fine. I'll call you when he wakes up."

Happy looks like he doesn't want to leave, but gets up. "Call me if anything happens. Please." He looks sad. Happy has been through a lot in the past few weeks.

"You know I will, my dear Forehead of Security." Tony attempts to lighten the mood, but Happy only smiles sadly and leaves the room.

Tony sits down in a swivel chair and spins toward one of the holographic screens around the room, showing a diagram of Peter's broken arm. Tony didn't know how only one injury so minor was possible, after that accident. He could've sworn he'd seen the boy's nose snap, but there was no sign of any damage.

As soon as they'd hit Peter, they'd carried the boy into the back seat. Tony had drove them back to the Tower while Happy sat in the back and made sure Peter wasn't jostled, all the while spouting countless worries. They'd taken Peter to the Avenger's Tower's med bay instead of the hospital for three reasons.

One, based off Happy's account of the day May died, the boy wouldn't react well to being back in a hospital. Happy had said the boy lost his parents when he turned ten, at the Stark expo in 2010, when Hammer's Drones had gotten loose. Tony felt some guilt for that.

Two, Tony didn't really want to be attacked by the press about who the boy was, if Tony had hit him, if it was on purpose, if the boy was his son... countless questions far from the truth. He wasn't in the mood. And he didn't think Peter would be either, when he woke up.

Three, the med bay had much better supplies and attention, Peter would heal better and faster than he would in the hospital.

Tony decides to take a DNA check on Peter, just to make sure he was Peter. Last time he saw the kid he had been wearing glasses, and seemed a lot... weaker. Maybe the test would also reveal why he hadn't been affected by the 3,000lbs car that had smashed into him at thirty miles an hour. He pretended that wasn't the real reason.

Tony swivels in a spinney chair, passing the time by yelling at DUM-E and coming up with a new and improved Iron man suit, the Mark 47, or the Mark XLVII -the numerals looked better on paper- and eating strawberries. A new fruit, because apparently his brain malfunctioned when he ate blueberries.

"Ultron..." He mutters, glaring at the blue screen.

A beep startles him from his work a few hours later, and Friday chimes, "The test is done sir."

"What..." Tony does a double take when he sees the results of Peter's DNA sample. Its close to May's, he was defiantly her nephew, but there was something else. Something he'd never seen before, or heard of before.

There was spider DNA mixed with Human DNA.

How was this possible? Tony tried to comprehend the implications. Was this since birth? When did it happen? What happened? Did Peter have some of a spider's abilities?

Tony eyed Peter's hands, as though webs might shoot out. He noticed something he hadn't before. What looked like a bracelet, one on each hand. It looked like there was a button on it...

Tony moved to take off the bracelet, and Peter choose that exact moment to wake up.
