General pov:  it's been a couple weeks since the fire house had a heckler show up, so nothing has gone bad since violet bonded with him, it's also been a couple weeks since the first girls on fire girl graduated from the fire Academy so pharmacy is doing good at that fire house today's shift day in the first call of the day is to a transit bus that got caught on fire. The fire house was able to save everybody inside now back at the fire

K= look who it is
DP= how are you Kelly?
K= I'm all right I never know if it's a good news or bad news when I see your face
DP= say you listen you have anything going on after shift
K= I don't know why
DP= you were pretty helpful that safe cracker case it was a nice assist
K= assist my recollection is I solved it for you
DP= we got another situation that could use your expertise
K= fire scene
DP= not exactly meet me there if you got the time

Pryma walks away from Kelly then Gallo in Carver have a disagreement, but what went on earlie on  the call  Stella starts to notice their disconnect

S= all right let's wrap it up mouch you help me with these webs Gallo in Carver put the ladder away
BG= you got it, Lieutenant
SC= shoulder carry or suitcase
BG= I don't care
SCP suitcase then we're going maybe 20 feet
S= there's something going on with those two
M= not that I'm aware of

Stella keeps her eyes on Gallo in Carver to see if she can figure out what's going on . After shift Kelly goes to meet pryma

K= pryma
DP= over here
K= nice place you got here
DP= yeah right a few nights ago CPD you got a report of repeated exposure is coming from the address. They rolled his squad car, but it was a ghost town by time they arrived.
K= it was probably just some kids screwing with M80 or detonating  Tenorite
DP= yeah what do you think about this
K= I don't know
DP= but can you figure it out?
K= maybe but you must know someone more qualified
DP= I'm trying to chase down the lead without making too much first start getting certain people involved the next thing you know ATF is swooping  in and taking over the case
K= the ATF what is the lead you've chase down
DP= there's hey certain individual we've had our eye on for a while pod Kim was picked up his car just up the street at Pulaski and 31st on the night in question this guy had anything to do with us. We need to know about it.
K= OK well I'll take a look see if I can figure it out
DP= I appreciate it

Kelly starts taking pictures and looking around for anything that can help him later that night Stella has to work at Molly's

M= I thought Carver was spending more time at Molly's these days, so where is he?
BG= who cares
H= scarecrow
M= cowardly lion
H= what
M= why did you say scarecrow you OK buddy?
H= I need to borrow your motorcycle
M= OK
S= hey Gallo, can you meet me at the end of the bar for a second?
BG= sure thing
S= cool what's going on  with you and Carver
BG= well ask him
S= he's not here so I'm asking you
BG= well that's kind of a problem I guess
S= what is that supposed to mean?
BG= Carver always gets a free pass. I don't know. He comes out of nowhere with the big seal of approval from Boden you don't ask me or mouch what we think of him you just hire him on the spot hell you don't even bring the hammer down on him when he ends up in the drunk tank you bail him out in chauffeur him home no wonder he's stretch around like he owns a place, because he basically does

Once Gallo speaks  his feelings to Stella, he just walks away. Stella finishes her shift goes home and goes to bed the next morning as they are getting ready for work Stella talks to Kelly of what Gallo  told her at mollys the night before.

S= he wasn't wrong about a lot of that stuff I mean Boden foisted carver on  to me, and then I foisted him on to gallo and mouch
K= that's how it works Gallo and mouch  don't get vote
S= I could have maybe handled it better though I don't want Gallo feeling resentful
K= who cares Gallo can feel however, he wants so long as he shows up on time and does his job
S= that is quite the management philosophy you got there
K= it works for me
S= you getting anywhere with this
K= I got some ideas it's taking a lot of Leg work
S= well doesn't pryma have someone who's supposed to know this stuff?
K= he came to me trying to fly under the radar or so he says I mean there's definitely something he  isn't  telling me
S= why work with him then
K= Eh it's interesting stuff
S= must be it's going to make us late ( kiss his cheek)

They finish getting ready and heading to work later on in the shift

SC=  Kylie said you were looking for me
S= yeah come on, and what's the beef between you and Gallo
SC= beef
S= you two are barely able to move a ladder together other day I mean, I've seen better team work from the Three Stooges
SC= that was just a miscommunication
S= it was zero communication. What's going on?
SC= there is no beef we had a conversation last shift at the end of which we came to a mutual understanding
S= which is
SC= look Lieutenant Gallo and I don't need to be best friends to work together or professional, but will step up the communication. You won't see any more hiccups there.
S= thanks we'll pick this up later

Before Stella can dive more into this issue truck, it's a call they call it was about someone trapped on a wave but it turned out he wasn't trap. He lock the door to the roof so that he could jump and no one can come up and save him gal. I was able to get out there to try to talk him down from jumping, but it didn't work cause he still jumped. So now Gallo has to deal with that in the coming days back at the firehouse.

DP= what are we looking at?
K= all right the flash pattern in the hole that was torn through the plywood is indicative of a high order explosion
DP= caused by
K= well that the question whatever cause this was due to a commercial grade or most likely a military grade explosion
DP= military
K= military munitions convert as much material as possible to connect energy. That's what makes them predictable efficiently so I started looking for military devices that caused this pattern. I think it was a 40 mm door breaching round form a grenade launcher
DP= door - breaching
K= it's a low velocity grenade that uses blast pressure to burst a door down from a distance and kill whoever is on the other side it's highly specialized stuff, so why is someone running around shooting this thing for fun in an abandoned warehouse on Pulaski?
DP= I don't think it was for fun. I think it was for demonstration
K= by who
DP= by a seller showing a buyer what his kids can do
K= so this individual that you mentioned the other day the guy you have your eyes on you're telling me that he's selling military weapons inside Chicago
DP= no that's what you're telling me
K= can you stop him?
DP= I'm gonna try, but I'm going to need more help from you
K= what kind of help
DP= I got to talk to some people first. I'll keep you posted. Thanks, Kelly.
K= yeah
DP= can I keep this?
K= yes.

Pryma leaves Kelly's office now it's the end of shift. Everyone is headed home at Kelly and Stella's place. They are making food and talking about what has happened on shift.

K= Gallo resilient nothing keeps him down
S= I know that  it seems that way you know his peppy this deposition but he's really feel things and I just wish that I knew how to help him through this
K= he'll figure it out in his own time that's all ( knocking)
S= ( opens door ) hey
DP= this a bad time yeah it is
K= Nah come in you eat yet
DP= no I'm good thanks I'll get out of here in a minute
K= all right what's up?
DP= well this is our friend who's hocking military weapons on the streets of Chicago. His name is Vince Martucci
K= you pick him up
DP= not yet I don't have the kids on him but he does have a relationship with Danny Kavanaugh you remember that name
K= you mean the dirty cop who almost got me and stella killed yeah kinda hard to forget
DP= well when you went over my head and got Danny arrested. This is one of his several ongoing cases that you compromise  fortunately for us, Kavanaugh, still willing to negotiate, tells us what he knows helps get these weapons off  the streets.
K= such a good guy. What does that have to do with me?
DP= states attorney, not willing to strike a deal with Kavanaugh unless his victims sign off on it
K= his victims
DP= you and Stella
K= what kind of deal are we talking about
DP= Kavanaugh helps us take down Martucci he gets time served
K= he walks
DP= Martucci a bad dude, Kelly
K= so is Kavanaugh no deal
DP= I need Cavanaugh's corporation
K= find another way
DP= look be reasonable
K= dragging me out to that warehouse, tapping me for my expertise. You were just trying to get me invested in this thing because you knew you would end up having to ask me the unthinkable.
DP= it wasn't like that
K= get out
DP= come on Kelly
K= get out
DP= we don't do this deal. A lot of people are going to get hurt. ( turns to Stella) and that's on you too

Pryma just leaves and Kelly is pissed they end up just eating dinner and together and don't think about much else for the rest of the night and go to bed

Authors note ;  I hope you like this chapter.
