she waited for kenny to answer her phone call.
suddenly, his voice called out from the other end.
"hi." kenny tried to speak as politely as usual.
cherry recognized his tone; it was the one he had whenever he was upset, but didn't wanna show it.
"hey, kenny. uh, i'm i'm los angeles. can i come see you?" cherry hesitated.
the pair had always talked about meeting up some day.
what if he didn't want too anymore?
"yes, please. my day was horrible." kenny couldn't help but smile, his mood lifting. "if you promise to help me talk to a girl."
"sure." cherry smiled.
kenny sent her his location.
her aunt agreed to drive her, because she was about to go out to a club with some of her friends who lived in the area.
kenny's location led her to a park.
a familiar face was dressed in what appeared to be a halloween costume.
