Redemption

EP.5

Several Months have passed with Zee and Nunew spending almost everyday together. They become literally inseparable and their bond become stronger. Also, Zee literally forgot about the bet thing he made with Jay.

Although it seems to everyone that they both like each other, they keep denying the fact and told ''We are just PhiNongs to their friends and coworkers.''

In fact, Nunew has always liked Zee, he has a crush on Zee ever since they worked together in a series. Maybe it is because Zee gives him constant affection and care he never thought he would need, he become attached to Zee more and more. Nunew always try hard to suppress his feelings but it's still obvious except to Zee who is so oblivious about things.

At the same time, Zee's feelings towards Nunew is slowly developing but he is still adamant that maybe it's because he love Nunew platonically.

As they get closer, Zee started to admire every small little things about Nunew. He began to enjoy spending time with Nunew to the point where he was finding himself looking forward to their time together. He genuinely enjoys being with Nunew. He likes Nunew's giggles, laugh, smile and every action or movement Nu did. It was at that moment he realized that he wanted to go beyond friends or coworkers or phinongs, whatsoever. But he is still reluctant to take actions.

Zee was walking to the cafeteria of the DMD building when he saw two familiar figures talking and laughing. As he got closer, he spotted Nunew and he was about to call him but he stopped when the guy who is talking to Nunew suddenly pulled Nunew into his hug.

Seeing this, Zee is now fuming with anger and jealousy although it was not so long that he finally accepted that he like Nunew more than phinong.

Zee is very mad to the point that he walked towards Nunew in a fast pace and grabbed Nunew's arm, making the younger winced in pain. Nunew had no idea what was going on with Zee but he had to follow him since he was dragged by Zee's with strong force.

''Hia~'' Nunew called but Zee didn't even respond.

''HIA!'' this time, Nunew got angry with Zee's action and shouted, making Zee to come back to his sense.

Zee turned to look at Nunew with teary eyes. " Let Go Of MY HAND!'' Nunew coldly said.

Only now, Zee is finally back to himself and realized the mess he had just made when he saw Nunew's facial expression. A Big Mess!

''I'm Sorry'' Zee said, not daring to look straight into Nunew's eyes, he doesn't know how to explain his actions.

'' Why?'' Nunew asked making Zee more anxious than he already is.

"......''

" What's your reason to drag me here, Hia? Please explain before I'm getting mad. Just Please.''

" I don't know'' Zee whispered.

''Okay, then. Now I'm really mad at you Hia. What you did was very unreasonable, if you don't want to tell it's okay I'm leaving'' Nunew turned his back to Zee and almost left when a hand grabbed his wrist.

''I'm sorry Nu.''

''....'' Nunew used his other hand to remove Zee's hand from his wrist. He's now really sulking at Zee.

''Please'' ''Ok, I'll tell.'' Zee fidgets his fingers thinking whether he should tell the truth or not. "Should I say I'm jealous? What should I say? Omg Zee you messed up very bad this time'' He thought to himself.

''What? I'm leaving if you're not saying anything Hia.''

''I-it's because that guy hugged you'' Zee admitted while his eyes are only focusing on his feet.

''Huh? What is it again Hia?'' Nunew is confused.

''Well, okay'' Zee sighed. ''I can't withstand seeing you with someone else, hugging or laughing with someone except me.I'm sorry I just got jealous and angry so I acted out of impulse. I'm really sorry.''

Before Nunew could say anything Zee continued, ''I'm sincerely sorry for what I did earlier but'' Zee took a deep breath and finally gathered up all the courage he had to admit his feelings. "Okay Zee, you can do it! It's now or never'' Zee reminded himself.

''Nu, there's something I need to tell you''

Nunew looked up Zee with an innocent, confused look. ''Krub'' there was no longer anger in Nu's voive anymore after he heard Zee's explanation. Still, he's processing everything.

Zee continued. ''Something that I've wanted to tell you for a while now but I've always afraid of what you'd say or how you'd react.'' Nunew's eyebrows raised, carefully paying attention to his Hia.

'' I love you Nu, not platonically but romantically, I wanted you to know how much I cared about you, how much I hated seeing youbwith someone else that's not me. You mean so much to me Nu. You're so important to me that I'm nothing without you.'' Zee finally sighed as if he'd accomplished something.

They both were standing in kinda awkward silence which makes Zee more nervous.....it was only until Nunew broke the awkwardness.

" Well, actually Hia,.....I-I love you too''

That surprised Zee genuinely. He never expected Nunew to reciprocate his feelings.

''Are you serious Nu? You don't have to say this to make me feel better tho'' Zee replied not believing the fact that Nunew likes him too.

'' It's hard to believe, right? It's been a while...I've always felt lucky to have you in my life'' Nunew's head hang low as he confessed shyly. He's blushing so hard.

''No, Nu I don't mean it that way.'' Zee quickly defend himself. ''Since we both like each other, umm...do you want to be my boyfriend?''

'' Humm'' Nunew's face light up and his expressions changed from being shy to happy. "I-I'd love to'' he shyly replied, not being sure if it's a dream or not.

Then, they hold each other tightly both feeling happy that they finally get to express their love for each other.

However, Nunew is feeling a mixture of happiness and fear; fear of what ifs; fear of their future from now on. He's afraid that things would happen like how it did in his past. He's afraid of being left and betrayed because he didn't want to experience those things again. However, he decided to give it a go since he believed that Zee will never ever betray him. At least he wanted to believe it.
