The Talk and comfort

It was Friday night, the kids were at their grandparents house after Naruto told them to go there as he and Hinata wanted alone time. Boruto just shrugs and left with his sister to his grandpa's estate, what they all didn't know was that Naruto needed to talk to Hinata about her staying out late and sometimes not being home in the afternoon to be with the kids. He was scared to talk to her but needed answers, he took Wolf's advice and will demand answers, hopefully she doesn't avoid the questions. The two were having dinner silently as Naruto needed to find the right questions in his head before he asked them, he takes a few breaths and looks at Hinata" Hinata... why are you never home when the kids get home?" Hinata said" Father asks me to come to the estate and do some paperwork for him and it takes a bit as I need to make sure to read it all and sign the appropriate papers" Naruto" you should at least do some then return when the kids get out of school so someone is home, Boruto may be sixteen and can take care of Himawari but sometimes he even leaves to hang out with his friends, she can't be alone for too long, you know that" Hinata said" I know and I will try and stay home but Father needs help" Naruto growls softly" but you stay almost late! Don't see you at dinner time and when I get up you are either gone already or sleeping, I don't mind cooking for us all but you should still stay with us and have breakfast and dinner with your family" she looks down" can we not talk about this tonight.. I'm tired" Naruto hits the table hard" NO! We are going to talk about this now Hinata! You are not being truthful because if you were then you wouldn't be avoiding this talk" Hinata said nothing for a few minutes" please Naruto... I want to tell you but I am afraid and I don't want you and my clan to look bad.." he shakes in anger" it must be something big if you said that..." Hinata said nothing and got up, left to her room, Naruto growls and got up, grabbed his orange jacket with the three stripes on the end of the sleeves and the end, zips it up, puts on his shoes and walked out, very upset, he knew she was hiding something. He wanted to go see Sasuke but he didn't need the blunt truth or no emotions so he went to Wolf's, she told him that she moved into his old apartment which was funny, he smiled at that. He got there and knocked on the door, hoping she was not asleep.

Wolf was going to enjoy some ramen in a cup when she heard the door being knocked on. She got up and opened the door, frowns seeing Naruto, looking down and tears in his eyes but they weren't falling, she had a feeling why he was so down" I assuming that the talk did not go well...?" Naruto sighs" no.. she avoided the questions" Wolf takes his hand" come in, I'm boiling water for cup ramen, want one?" Naruto nods" that would be nice, maybe make me feel a bit better" he walked inside, taking off his shoes and sits at the table" this looks the same just spacious" he chuckles" when I lived here it was really messy, ramen cups everywhere, clothes, weapons I wasn't really a tidy person" Wolf laughe a little" it was a bit of tough cleaning but I managed to make it livable and not smell too bad" the kettle whistles and she got up, taking it from the stove, turned it off and poured the hot water into two cups and closed the lids, she sets the kettle back on the stove to cool down before she cleaned it. She sits down" hate to say this but if she won't tell you, you'll have to follow her, in a disguise of course" Naruto sighs" I'll give her time to tell me" Wolf hums" ok, it was just a suggestion, how about we talk about some old missions we did" Naruto smiled" oh I have many good and funny missions." The two talked throughout the night, having green tea after they finished their ramen cups, laughing and smiling. Wolf couldn't breath and had tears in her eyes as she listened to Naruto telling his story about when he had to attend a funeral for some old man but he couldn't laugh at all and all the man's family and relatives tried to get him to laugh, he almost lost it many times" it may have been a simple mission but that was the hardest thing I ever did during a mission, the damn monk looked so weird and only three hairs on his head and each time he moved each one fell off, my cheeks hurt so much from puffing them out, trying not to laugh each time those damn people went up to burn their incense. All that for money, I tried to pinching myself and think of something not funny but damn Pervy Sage came into mind so that failed. Only good thing that came out of all that was the man was alive and he did all that to show that money was tearing the family apart and forgotten about the good times they had before" Wolf smiled" that was beautiful, bet working with Shino was a real thrill" she chuckles. Naruto grunts" he was a piece of work... don't tell him that I told you that he transformed as the old man and with his bugs and did a funny dance" she nods" I won't, your secret is safe" she yawns and looked at the time; 2:00 AM" oh dear it's that late?" Naruto rubs his neck" oh wow.. we been talking for a long time, I should get home" Wolf said" it's late, you can stay here I don't want you walking home alone in the dark, it's the new moon so there will be no light to guide you, not much lights around this area either" he smiled" wow.. thank you Wolf, if it's not too much trouble" Wolf smiled" it's no trouble at all, I'll get the futon out, I unfortunately do not have any clothes that will fit you..." he shakes his head" it's fine I can just sleep in my t shirt and pants, I'll head home tomorrow morning to change" Wolf went to get the futon from the closet and rolls it out beside her bed, making space for her to walk so she doesn't accidentally step on him if she gets up before he does. She fluffs the pillow and sets it down" there we go," Naruto threw away the empty ramen cups and turned off the kitchen light, Wolf had a small lamp on her bedside on so they could see until they were ready for bed. She said" I placed a new toothbrush on the sink for you to brush your teeth" Naruto grins" thanks Wolf!" He went to the bathroom and started brushing his teeth. He really felt comfortable with Wolf, of course he could of went to any of his friends but Wolf was his first choice because something about her made him feel happy and he could trust her with even deep secrets if he wanted to share them to her. Kurama asked through their link' are you sure this is a good idea? You are still married and if people see you come out of Wolf's place they will think you had an affair and that won't look good for you as the hokage' Naruto said softly so Wolf didn't hear him" don't worry, I have more people who would believe me than people who would try and make me look bad, if I give an explanation, Wolf would back me up also" he hums' if you say so Naruto, just be on your guard when walking home tomorrow morning, never know what will happen, journalists and newspaper people will do any thing for a juicy story when stretch the truth or lie' he sighs remembering that problem too well when the war ended and Kakashi was hokage, there was a lot of lies and stretched truth about his old sensei and it did sicken him, luckily not a lot of people who knew Kakashi personally believed it and it was all debunked and there were not bad rumors about him again. Naruto spits out the toothpaste and used his left hand to catch the water from the faucet and sipped it and swishes the water in his mouth then spits out the water" it'll be fine Kurama" he went in the bedroom, Wolf was brushing her hair using the soft glow of the lamp, he stared at her, blushing softly' was she always this beautiful?' Her hair looked so shiny and soft, her red-orange eyes looked like they were glowing. He shook his head and walked to the futon, sits down on it, smiled at Wolf" thank you again for letting me stay here" Wolf put her brush down and smiled" can't have my friend and hokage walk alone in the village, could still be attacked," he chuckles softly" hey! Give me some credit I am the hero of Konoha after all, Dattebayo!" She laughed" of course the great Naruto Uzumaki, hero of Konoha" the he laughed softly. He laid down on the futon and pulled the cover to his chest, his right arm resting on top of it" just warning you, I do snore and talk in my sleep so I'm sorry if it keeps you up" Wolf said" thank you for the warning" she luckily had earplugs in the drawer in case the people below her get loud. She turned off the lamp and stretched her sore limbs and yawns" good night Naruto, sweet dreams" Naruto closed his eyes" good night Wolf, you to" he will deal with Hinata later, right now he just wanted to forget and remember his fun time with Wolf yesterday.
