Chapter 21

Lucia was looking down having her eyes closed and her hands on her hair

"He'll be fine! You heard the doctor! It was from concussion!" Charlotte said to Lucia and she finally faced the Monegasque crying "Come here"

Charlotte hugged Lucia

"He's fine we said that! Don't worry!" Charlotte tried to calm her

Lucia didn't want to hear anything, having Charlotte hugging her was something that at least made her avoid Marie

Lucia believes that if Marie wouldn't react like that Pierre would be more focused in the race and he'll be fine now

The doctor walked out of the room

"He is absolutely fine! He asks for Lucia" The doctor said smiling

The Italian girl stood up

"I am" She whispered

The doctor showed her the room and she walked in, Pierre was laying on the bed and a smile appeared on his face watching her

"You scared me" Lucia gave him a strong hug "I thought I was going to lose you! Idiot!"

"I am fine! Don't worry" Pierre stroked her back, Lucia broke the hug and she looked at him "I don't want you get stressed about me!"

"Okay" Lucia nodded

"Come here" Pierre wanted to kiss her and the Italian leaned to gave him a gently kiss on the lips "I'm fine!"

"How many days?" Lucia asked and she stroked his head a bit

"10 days... but I am so lucky that I'll race in Brazil" Pierre replied smiling

After Mexico Lucia and Pierre left with Charlotte and Charles for Monaco, the couple hosted them in their apartment

"And he didn't tell you anything? I am so curious! Will Lewis retire?" Charles asked Pierre

"Mate I want to find out about that as well... Lewis is the only reason I think Toto would choose me!" Pierre replied and he looked at Lucia

"When George's contract ends?" Lucia asked

"The same time as Lewis' contract ends" Pierre replied

"Maybe is George's seat?" Charles asked

"I prefer you to replace George than Lewis! They will hate you if you'll replace him!" Lucia said

"She's right!" Charles agreed

"My meeting with Toto is in 15 minutes! Charles can you tell me where the address I sent you is?" Pierre asked and the Monegasque explained him

Pierre left and they stayed alone

"You are nervous!" Charlotte said laughing

"I want him so much drive for a team like Mercedes! He deserves the best!" Lucia said nervously

Pierre came back a few hours later, it was night, Lucia was sleeping in the guest's room

As Pierre got in he smiled placing a kiss to the top of her head, Lucia turned to face him

"Hey" She said sitting up

"Hey love" Pierre replied smiling

"what time is it?" Lucia asked looking at the time

"Past 12" Pierre answered and Lucia looked at him

"All that time you were with Wolff?" Lucia asked

"Yes mon ange... he offered me a contract for 2023, Williams wants back George and I really want to join Mercedes but there is Alpine as well" Pierre sighed "fucking hell"

"Suggest them a driver!" Lucia answered "what about someone from f2? You haven't sign anything yet so you didn't do anything wrong!"

"You think?" Pierre asked and Lucia nodded

"Yes! Go away I need some sleep!"
