Chapter O2

"Cath, don't forget later, you will meet your tutor okay," my mom called me. "Yes mom, goodbye. I need to go now," I said. "Yes baby, goodluck on your cheer," she said and ended the call. I kept my phone when our coach called us. He instructed us something for our cheering.

"03, Alfaro of UST, three points shot again, like wow. He is really well-skilled." The commentator said. I really can't believe what I am watching, he is merciless. 65-97 ang score. It's now third quarter of the game. Malamang, mahihirapan sina Kuya Cane para habulin ang score na 97.

"Oh, did you just see how Alfaro defend and steal the ball. What a great captain," the commentators kept on commenting because it was their duty as commentators.

When the buzz sounded, I look so nervous. Not about the score, but about kuya Calix, he was hurt. Agad na lumapit si coach, his teammates, also us to check him. Pero nandoon na yung captain ng kalaban nila, na inaalalayan siya. Like wow, ngayon lang ako nakakakita sa mga  magkalaban na nagtutulungan.

Tinulak ko ng mahina ang lalaki, at lumapit kay kuya Calix. "Kuya, are you okay?What part does hurt?" alala kong sabi. The clinic nurses came and carried him. Sumama na si kuya Wilbert. Nag time-out muna sila.

"Kuya, nahihirapan ba kayo?" I asked kuya Cane. Tumawa naman siya bago inumin ang tubig niya. "What?" I said and rolled my eyes. He pointed at the captain of UST.

"Malamang, he's there e," he answered. "Sana sa UST na tayo nag-aral, no'" he said. I just rolled at him, na ikinatawa niya. I just tsked.

After the game, the Growling Tigers did won. Kahit ganoon, ay happy pa rin sina kuya even our coach. "You did your best naman, kuya di'ba?" I teased kuya. He just laughed, inakbayan niya ako at hinila palapit sa mga UST players.

"Hey, congratulations!" He said to a UST player. He is number 09. "Uy, sino 'yan? Girlfriend mo?" The guy asked. Kuya Cane just laughed. "Kapatid ko, tanga!" My kuya said. My brows furrowed when the captain of UST went to us.

"Pasensya nga pala pre sa player niyo," he said to kuya. "It's okay, Cane Zyxen Alonso." My kuya said and offered a hand. Naka-akbay pa rin siya saakin.

"Zevioron Fiorello Alfaro,ikaw miss?" He said and he just offered me his hand. What?!

"Gago ka capt!Cane daw! CANE!" His friend literally laughed at him. Inirapan ko siya at pilit na hilain si kuya.

"Her name's Catharina Athena!"
My kuya answered. Halatang natatawa because of what that  Zevioron said. Nang matapos na si kuya sa ginagawa niya ay sinundo namin si Kuya Calix sa clinic bago umuwi.

"Tonight, we will meet Cath's tutor, right?" Kuya Calix said. Tumango naman si kuya Cane. "What will he look like kaya?" Kuya Cane said while scrolling through his phone.

"Whatever he or she look like, I don't care. Basta maka-pag-aral, duh" I said and also scroll through my phone. When we reached our house, I quickly went inside and saw mommy helping the maids to prepare.

"What's with the food? A celebration?" Kuya Cane and kuya Calix was surprised. "Of course, even though you lose. Still, me and your daddy needs to celebrate that," mom answered. Dad was just nodding while reading a newspaper.

"Also, we will celebrate with Cath's tutor. He will start tutoring Cath tonight," dad added, I saw that my brothers we're like stopping themselves from laughing.

It was 7:32 in the evening, and my tutor was not yet here. "Sir, nandito na po ang tutor ni ma'am Cath," kuya Wilbert came to dad and said that.

Sinenyasan siya ni dad na papasukin ang tutor ko. Then I was stunned and shock to see who is my tutor be. Natawa naman si kuya Cane, and he almost choked. I was at the left side of table. While my dad and mom are across, and my brothers are on the right side of the table.

"Sit here, ijo," my mom said and pointed at the empty chair beside me. Really? Mas lalong nagpipigil ng tawa si kuya Cane.

"Good evening po, Mr and Mrs Alfonso," he greeted my parents and gave them a smile. "Cane at Calix..." he looked at me, my brow furrowed. "... Ma'am Catharina," he said.

"Oh, how do you know my daughter's name?" dad asked before my tutor sat beside me. "Ahem..." Kuya Cane who is really teasing me, of course know how did he know my name.

"Kuya Cane, he is the one who introduced me to him. But I don't know that he is my tutor, kase pinipilit ako ni kuya na magka-boyfriend," I lied. Muntik nang masamid si kuya Cane habang umiinom ng tubig.

"Like what?No dad, of course not!" He quickly defended himself. "Okay, okay." Dad stopped us.

"Sorry Mr Alfaro for that. It's just, minsan aso't pusa ang mga anak ko," my dad apologize and gave him a apologetic smile. "Okay lang po Sir Alfonso," he said.

Habang kumakain kami ay nag-uusap sila. I just kept quiet the whole dinner. After that, my mom said na sisimulan na daw ni Zevioron ang pagtu-tutor saakin. They insisted of course na sa bedroom ko nalang niya ako tuturuan.
