16 - Minnie

"No... you can't... I am so sorry," I say lost for words, as Valentina gives me a sad smile,

"Yeah, I know I'm sorry too," Val says with her head down, "I'll talk about it if you do after me?" when she looks up all I can see is the sadness and hope in her eyes,

"I mean it's probably a good idea but I can't talk about it yet," I respond, "I think there was one person in my life that I actually trusted and I hadn't seen him for 3 years, other than a 20 minute brief accidental run into each other. I'm just not ready to talk about it with anyone,"

"And that's ok. We will both talk about it when you're ready," Val agrees looking a little sad but, goes back to lying down on my legs and reading, I do the same still not finding the stuff about wandless magic after finishing half the book. After around half an hour Val sits up and grabs my bag, yanks the book from my hands, puts them in the bag, and grabbing my hands and drags me back to the castle,

"Hey! What the fuck?" I yell as Val is now dragging me running,

"I forgot we had transfiguration next and Professor Mcgonngal will have our heads if her own house is late to her own class!" Val panics, 

"Ok yeah, you're right. Run!" I say as we sprint towards the transfiguration classroom. We get to the door of the classroom and I quickly peek through the window and then go down,

"Ok, we're fine we are early the other class is still in there," Just as I finish my sentence the bell to end class rings and we step away from the door and let all the 6th-year Hufflepuffs leave and a boy with brown hair and darker grey eyes looks at me and gives a kind smile, I just send him a smirk and wink back as he smiles, shakes his head and walks away.

"Omg, do you know who that was!" Val squeals grabbing my hands,

"Obviously not," I say rolling my eyes

"That was Cedric Diggory, the Hufflepuff Quidich captain and seeker!" she yells,

"Geez calm down let's go inside," I say smiling and rolling my eyes, walking into the classroom there are lots of different objects and desks for four all lined up around the room,

"Where's Professor Mcgonngal?" Val asks as a cat jumps onto her desk, the cat's tail swishes on the desk, and Val sits down,

"I think she's here," I say quietly as I look at the cat which has a faint magic aroma around it, since Peet and I figured out that I can tell what animals are animagus when they are transformed, strutting over to Minnie's desk I pick up the cat and hold her to my chest,

"You make the cutest cat Minnie," I laugh looking at Minnie in cat form,

"How did you figure that out?" Val questions,

"This cat has darker fur in the shape of glasses," I lie smoothly and stroke my fingers along the marks around her eyes before putting Minnie back on her desk, and walking over to where Val and I put our stuff I sit down and pull out my parchment, while Val looks at me confused,

"Why are you getting your parchment out?" she says looking confused,

"To take notes, just cause I'm the prankster James Potter's kid I can't focus in school," I say bitterly,

"Artemis you know I didn't mean it like that, it's just earlier you didn't seem like the kind of person to study or take notes," she explains,

"I just don't like that useless class, Valentina," I drag out her name in a teasing tone, and she laughs before people start walking into the classroom and filling the seats, sending Harry weird looks, as Minnie jumps off her desk and everyone flinches but me and Val,

"What is going on with you all, I have never had a worse reaction to my transformation," Minnie says, as Hermione raises her hand,

"We just came from divination," she answers,

"Ah, which one of you will be dying this year," she says bored and uninterested, "Mr Potter looks in perfect health to me I'm sure you'll be fine." I start snickering at Minnie's reaction causing Nathan to shoot me a look, before talking to me and Val loud enough for the rest of the class to hear,

"Of course, you would find it funny you didn't suffer through that class with us you guys ditched," he finishes the sentence with a smirk,

"What the fuck dude?" I say angrily, as Val glares at him and I glare at him with such intimidation he looks away, before leaning back on my chair to the table behind me where he's sitting, mumbling just loud enough for Nathan, Harry, and Ron to hear "Didn't realise Sirius could raise a snitch," all their eyes widen before I lean back down smirking and look at Minnie who is looking at me with an eyebrow raised,

"And what did you and Miss Williams do in this period of time?" she questions, I grab our bags and open the books we just borrowed to the page where it marks when and who borrowed it,

"We went to the library borrowed some books and sat by the Black Lake reading things of more importance," I say before smirking and adding, "Minne, is that a good enough reason?" several gasps go around the class at the nickname, but Minnie just looks at the book and back at me before walking to the front of the class behind her desk,

"20 points to Gryffindor each for a better use of time than divination," many shocked faces spread across the room before she continues, "I will write you two and only you two a pass for that class each week if you continue your good use of time. If anyone else asks it will be a no do I make my self clear," before she turns back to the board and starts writing the plan for the year on the board, I look behind me at Ron, Harry, and Nathan, looking at them with a smirk I look at Nathan and poke my tongue out at his failed attempt to get me in trouble. Then lean back in the chair and whisper,

"Better luck next time," before turning to Lavender and Pavarti waving hi and starting to write notes.
