VERO AND DD CLEARLY had communication problems, the pair clearly shared feelings for each other, and the kiss that they had shared days before had confirmed it, but for some reason neither of them had spoke on the subject, they had just moved past it like it never happened.

There wasn't any awkwardness or tension between the two like before, there was just this unspoken attraction between the two which both of them ignored

"I don't want to go in" Vero huffed stubbornly, everyone was chilling at ddots house and dd was forcing Vero to come with him.

"Veronica stop being scary"

"I'm not, I just don't want to be around people I don't know"

"You've met a few of em before, you know ddot?" dd reminded the girl, hoping that would change her mind

"Take me home" Vero said stubbornly, this was the one day where Vero just wanted to be alone in her bed, her social battery was extremely low today

"Vero stop playing" dd said sternly, grabbing the girls arm forcing her to walk, dd knew that ddot had left the door unlocked so he entered with no problem, heading to the main room where he knew everyone would be gathered

"Wassup gang" dd spoke greeting everyone in the room, music was playing and a blunt was being passed around

"Yooo" ddot was the first to notice dd had entered dapping him up, the others following lead

"Wassup Vee, how's your bro?" Dudeylo was the first to acknowledge the girl, all of the others eyes travelling to her, Vero knew some of the people in the room, she hadn't spoken to some of them directly but she knew them through her brother, however there were a group of girls that Vero had never seen before, so she sent them a smile, she was worried that she would be stuck with just boys so it was a relief knowing she wouldn't be the only girl

"Yeah he cool, I just spoke to him yesterday" she nodded, sending the boy a smile

Jaileen who was sat with the rest of the girls was sat quietly her eyes squinted as she looked Veronica up and down assessing the girl, the two had never met before so Jaileen was taking the opportunity to decide whether she fucked with her or not off the bat

"So dd, you not finna introduce her to us?" She blurted moving her eyes to dd looking at him with a smile

"This Vero, she's keems lil sis" he introduced flatly, before focusing his attention back to vero "you good? You want to sit near me" he asked lowly, he knew that the girl didn't want to be there and probably didn't want to interact with others

Jaileen rolled her eyes watching dd speak to the girl, why was he so focused on her when she was sitting right in front
of him?

"Veronica come sit over here" Jaileen insisted a smile on her face waving the girl over

Vero glanced over at dd who still had a questioning look on his face and then back over to Jaileen and the other girls who were all staring at her waiting "it's fine" she waved him off before sitting with the girls

"Im Jaileen by the way, you could just call me Jay" she explained running her fingers through her pressed hair

Vero nodded "nice to meet you, you could just call me Vero for short"

"I'm Eva"

"And im Tamara" the two other girls introduced with wide smiles

"And that's Aubrey, she's not speaking cause her man ain't text her back and his location off" Jaileen pointed to the girl on the end, who was typing rapidly on her phone not paying attention, all of the girls laughing at Jays comment
