Contrary to most people's beliefs, Tyrantrum is not based off of the T-Rex since Tyrantrum's Pokedex entry says it lived 100,000,000 years ago, which is 35,000,000 years older than the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Rather, Tyrantrum is based of the Cryolophosaurus, a dinosaur that lived 100,000,000 years ago.
