"Uhhhh, Ranko-san? Do you know him? You seems surprised after hearing the name" one of my follower asked. Oops, i might have made quite the surprised expression I suppose

"You could say he's quite an influential figure outside of the school" I responded
That isn't even a lie if i think about it. There was no reason to let them in on the full information just yet.

A few years prior to now there was a famous new figure in the legendary gambling club, Kakerou. Rumors about him spread everywhere across japan's underground network

It was a teenage boy who won every gamble he's participated in.

Every Gambler that faced against him at that time was crushed in an instant. No matter how much the gamble was rigged against his favor.Especially the gambles that was rigged against his favor.

The teenage boy's name was... Madarame baku, Nickname: Usogui(the lie eater)

"Seems like this first year is quite the big shot huh? I would love to check him out in the near future" declared one long silver haired female classmate of mine.

Her name was Fūka Kiryuin. In the class competitions between me and Nagumo, she was one of the few people who couldn't care less about the class placements

That statement honestly apply to me. I only try in special exams when i feel like it. Building influence for Kuruma gumi was my main priority here anyways. My promise of letting loyal followers join it works almost the same as Nagumo's class A ticket.

"Kiryuin, this one's mine. Find your own, I'm sure there's more interesting first years if he's here" I responded half sarcastically.

"Fine by me" she responded.

"Let's see, you all, arrange a meeting with him for me as soon as you possibly could" i said to my followers

As the seniors walked away, so did the duo of the white haired boy who scammed them and the black haired boy besides him.

I could see the white haired boy taking out a Kariume before eating it

I followed them for a bit before speaking
"Did you actually know about the expulsion condition?" I asked

"Nope, i was just bluffing. Seems like that actually gave me even more information that initially thought" He responded

"I see" I replied before walking away back to my dorm. It's only been the first day of school and moves like this are already happening

Either the students I witnessed earlier were the competition that man was talking about, or he was instructed by said person for this act. Or he could've been entirely unrelated to it. The last option seems Unlikely but it is still possible.

"Really? Madarame? Did you just bluff your way into getting this??"

"Just call me Baku. If thats fine with you"
