Yasmine entered her house with a bunch of grocery bags in her hand. She had came back from the hospital about two weeks ago.
Since Shani was out of town she had to do most things by herself. Although, she did feel a little woozy while being in the bed all the time. She even threw up her favorite food she liked a lot.
Her phone started to ring seeing it was Zay, so she picked it up.
"why you lookin at me like that?" He asked.
"why you callin ma phone for?"
"i just wanted to make sure you ok."
"yeah i'm ok. aint nun to worry about fr, i got it handled. I appreciate you for taking care of me though."
"you know i always gotchu ma. just keep yo door lock and everything."
"oh my godd, you don't gotta tell me that all da time." she said playfully rolling her eyes.
"ain't my fault yo ass was being blinded by that fuck nigga."
"don't even."
"you right my bad. i'ma about to come over though."
"why at this time?"
"just wanna make sure you ok."
"i am ok. you don't gotta come like fr."
"you already late cus i'm pullin up in yo driveway right now."
"boy stop playin."
"i ain't playin at all. open the door for me." he said turning his car off.
"mmm, alright."
She hung up the phone and headed to the door unlocking it.
"You thought I was just gon go home like that without even coming to you first?" He said letting his self in, he held a bouquet of flowers.
"Clearly, and is that for me?" She asked smiling.
"Ye it is. Yo favorite flower too."
"Awww thank you, you ain't have to buy that you know?"
"But I did. Where Shani at though?"
"She in Atlanta right now. Sumn happened to her mom I don't even know anymore."
"Damn, ha momma be giving her problems."
"Lowk you kinda right."
"You sure you feelin good though? Aint nun bothering you?"
"I'm ok Zay."
"Just makin sure you feel me?"
"Yeah.. I feel you."
There was a silence between the two, it wasn't too awkward or anything, it was more of a comfortable one.
"Uhm, I'm finna go shower, so I'ma be right back."
