𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 (All + No ships)

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙊𝙑:

The group was currently gathered at Ashlyn's house, her parents had planned a road trip and said she was allowed to bring her friends if she wanted to. Ashlyn kept her cool, but she was internally excited to bring the others.

"Everyone got everything?" Emma asked, the group double checked the bags and Aiden gave Ashlyn's mom a thumbs up. "Alright, let's get going then." Mike said, he led the group outside and packed the bags into the jeep while the others filed in and took their seats.

"I'm so excited!" Taylor exclaimed, Logan eagerly nodded in agreement with a smile. "Finally getting out of town for a few days." Tyler said, he turned towards Ashlyn and leaned down to whisper, "do you think we gotta deal with you know what once it hits midnight?" he questioned, Ashlyn stayed silent for a moment while she thought.

Would they? Or would they get a break for a while? Would the locations reset again? Ashlyn had a lot of questions but no answers, she shrugged her shoulders in response to Tyler's question. The taller boy sighed and sat up straight like before, Taylor started talking to him and it was clear she was struggling to contain her excitement.

"Seatbelts?" Emma asked, she turned around from her place in the passenger seat and checked if everyone had their seatbelts on. The group gave their own forms of confirmation. "Good." Emma said with a smile, she turned back around as her husband started the car and pulled out of the driveway.

"We'll be on the road for about 5 hours, then we'll stop somewhere for dinner, sound good?" Mike explained, he looked at everyone through the rear view mirror. Ashlyn nodded silently.

"You want one?" Aiden asked Ash with his usual smile, he held out a fidget puzzle for Ashlyn from his place in the seat behind her. The girl stared at it for a second before taking it and muttering a 'thanks'. "Can I try one?" Taylor asked, she looked back at Aiden.

He nodded and gave her one to fidget with, apparently he had an entire bag full in the backseat behind him, Aiden himself was messing with a rubix cube. Logan was quietly talking to Ben about astronomy, the taller boy was listening silently with an interested expression. Tyler was watching his twin figure out the puzzle Aiden had lended her.

Quiet music was playing on the car radio, Ashlyn's mom was explaining directions to her husband while they were at a stop light. A rather comfortable feeling overcame everyone in the car, they'd grown to be a somewhat family over the year they'd known each other.

About two hours later, almost everyone was asleep. Taylor was asleep with her head on her brother's shoulder, Logan was leaning back against the seat and asleep, Ben was leaning against the window, also asleep. Tyler was leaning his head back against his seat and sleeping. The only people awake were Aiden and Ashlyn.

"So," Aiden began, he leaned forward in his seat and hovered over Ashlyn, the girl side eyed him. "You excited for the trip Ash?" the boy questioned. Ashlyn nodded, "yeah I guess.. are you?" she returned the question, Aiden smiled more and nodded. "Hell yeah!"

"You two are still up?" Mike asked, looking back at the two for a second. Ashlyn hummed in response, "Aiden has everlasting energy and I took a nap before we got on the road." she stated simply, Aiden looked proud of his 'everlasting energy'. Mike laughed, "alright. we'll be stopping for dinner in about an hour." Aiden gave a thumbs up.

The car went back to being silent, despite the soft snoring from the others. Ashlyn was looking out the window and Aiden was messing with another puzzle. Eventually, an hour had passed by and the jeep pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant. Mike and Emma exited the car, Ashlyn and Aiden stayed to wake the others.
