Shower (17)

In the bathroom,
Cassandra helps
remove the white
and red bandages.

The crimson liquid
has dried up and
the burning is no
more.

I wonder how I
acquired these
wounds.

I watch as Cassandra
gets the shower going,
there's a sink, closet
door and also no
mirror.

"Isn't there supposed
to be a mirror at the
sink?" I asked.

Cassandra turns away from
the shower, looking at me
with a bit of shock,

"Er...well in this bathroom
there's no mirror."

Before I can say anything
else, Cassandra leaves
the bathroom.

I frown slightly and remove
my clothes, stepping into
the shower.

The water is very warm
and feels so foreign as
it falls and touches all
over my bareskin.
