Catherine Tudor, a young girl, stood before her mother, Margaret. Unlike her brother and uncle, Catherine was allowed to be present with her mother. She felt grateful to be by her lady's side, knowing that her mother would protect her from any harm. However, she couldn't help but wish that her beloved brother was with her. But, she understood that her stepfather, Henry Stafford, wouldn't have allowed it.

As soon as Catherine greeted her mother, Margaret pulled her daughter closer to her side. Catherine was a true beauty with her heart-shaped face, doe-like eyes, and neatly braided dark brown hair that almost appeared black. Margaret was grateful to have her daughter with her, as she knew that if her husband had kept Catherine with him, she would be in his household.

Catherine then asked her mother how she was doing in a soft, gentle tone. Margaret replied with equal softness, telling her daughter that she was doing well. She then sent Catherine off to continue with her lessons, and the young girl was accompanied by her governess as she walked away.

Catherine's governess was teaching her about the important duties of a wife and lady of the manor, and Catherine was paying close attention. Even though she wasn't a true princess, Catherine sat upright and listened attentively as her governess explained how managing a household was one of the most crucial tasks for a woman in her position.

As they talked, Catherine couldn't help but think about her twin brother Henry, who had been away for some time due to safety concerns. She longed to see him again and to play with him like they did when they were younger.

But Catherine's focus quickly turned back to the lesson at hand when her governess started discussing accounting and reducing expenses to increase her husband's wealth. Catherine listened carefully and tried her best to understand the concepts, hoping to be a help to her husband in the future.

Finally, the lesson came to an end, and Catherine curtsied respectfully before heading to the chapel to pray for her family's health and wealth. As she closed her eyes and bowed her head in prayer, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the knowledge and guidance her governess had provided her.
