My Twitter mentions were immediately flooded with hate coming from my 20k+ followers and other people who had seen my tweet retweeted onto their timelines. I had honestly built up somewhat of a wall to protect myself from the hate; having thousands of followers just for being pretty and funny got me quite a lot of it.

I was just an 18 year old girl from Toronto, I didn't do anything special. I wasn't a model, or a YouTuber, or a singer. All I really cared about were bands, my Instagram feed, and my little puppy named Ella.

I sighed after reading some of the incoming tweets, deciding I should probably clear up the air a bit.

yagirlcharlotte: didnt mean to offend anybody w that. all ive heard is slsp, dont know much about them. sorry guys

But even after trying to clear the air, the hate was still endless. I stripped, put my lilac hair into a bun, and threw on a Green Day shirt before letting sleep take over.
