Believe it or not, Sofia Lamb was invited by Andrew Ryan to cure the citizens of Rapture so they wouldn't want to leave. She did quite the opposite and turned most of Rapture against him, offering freedom. She even influenced Atlas. He was her biggest 'fan' in a way. :)
