Why do you hate me?

FARKLE'S POV:

Riley had told me to come over to her apartment along with Maya and Lucas after school so we could hangout

Me and Lucas were happy but Maya wasn't

I don't know what her deal is every time I walk up to the group her demeanor changes and she snarls at me like a rabid dog

Not lying......

She acts so mean and she ignores my comments I don't know what I've ever done to deserve it

She started acting like this a month ago....... And it was getting on my nerves

And today I planned on getting some answers

I saw Lucas talking to the clerk standing behind the desk and she seemed to be bored

I walked up and said "hey Lucas"

He looked over to me and smiled "hey Farkle"

"What's going on here?" I ask seeing the lady still looking bored

"She says the intercom in not working so we are waiting......"

I nod but just then we hear a beep and the clerk immediately looked happy

"Ok it's working you guys can go now....." She says shooing us along

MAYA'S POV:

I was talking to Riley on the couch "why did you invite Farkle.....?" I ask grumpily

She smiled and said "Maya, Farkle is one of our friends and we love him it wouldn't be fair......."

I huffed

Silence.

Just what I was afraid of.....

"You have to tell him eventually....." She says softly

I look over to her shaking my head

"No I can't......you know that hope and I never get along it would only be spiraling downhill......." I reply looking down

She gives a small smile and says "well with me here I'll stop it"

I chuckled at her optimism "thanks riles, but we all know as soon as ranger Rick walks in you and him will start making out and leaving me and Farkle behind with awkwardness"

She blushes and replies "he's my boyfriend I can't help it"

I shake my head

Just then we hear a knock on the door

"Coming" Riley announces to what I assume are the boys

I sigh

Time to get this over with

"Hey Riley" I hear lower voices greet

I get up to go greet them

"Huckleberry....." I announce looking over at him

"Short stack...." He replies

I smile

But my smile fades as I see Farkle

"Hey Maya....." He says awkwardly

I nod my head

I felt butterflies fluttering around in my stomach

I think some made their way to my heart

I clear my throat and shake the feeling off

Riley let's them in and off the bat Riley and Lucas head over to Riley room
