I walked around the house. It was the same. The wooden bed, leaky roof, everything, I felt a slight joy inside, for the first time in a year, I smiled. Uncle took care of me and Li-hu but some days he had to go to the factory which leaves me in charge. I collected eggs with Li-hu every day and every single day was joyful. When uncle came back he helped me to cook. I thought of every memory, cooking with my mother and singing with my father, I really missed Li Mei even though I couldn't see her anymore. I cried to sleep every night.
