Training

The training drills began early in the morning and y/n was bone tired by the time he got to the giant training grounds they would use, he was so tired he didn't even notice he was right next to mara, his most violent tormentor, only she didn't notice him either as she was focused on the headmaster who stood in front of them in some sort of green armor with a helmet stuck under her arm

"Today you will be split into battalions based on abilities and compatibility with the demons in your group, you will train tirelessly and fight as a unit, if you don't, you will fail and we will lose, and we are not losing to those stuck up angels, RIGHT!?"

The gathered students roared in response

"We will fight as an army, and we WILL WIN!"

The crowd roared again

The headmaster organized the groups in speedy fashion naming off who went where, y/n was hoping not to be in mara or Katy's group but his name didn't get called at all until the very end

"Y/n, due to your affinity with hellfire you'll join the argent d'nur group, GO!"

He ran in the direction she pointed and found himself faced with demons he had never even seen, on stood nearly 10ft tall with flames dancing across her clawed hands, she looked down at him with little interest then looked back to the other demon she had been talking to

One of them slithered across the ground half of her body an armored snake like tail and she had horns coming from her skull

There were many of the imps like andromeda and baronesses like barb, some of the imps even had wings, floating among them were tall white and red creatures that never touched the ground

he knew he was probably gonna have a really bad day and jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder but found only andromeda

"O-o-oh h-h-hi "

"Hey rider, looks like your with us, just fair warning, most demons from argent d'nur don't mind riders not everyone is a fan of them, but it should be fine"

She led him over to the group
"Everyone, it doesn't matter if you like riders or  not, he's with us now, so you just have to deal with that"

The head mistresses yelled once more
"Oh I forgot to mention your battalion will be led by one of your teachers"

Y/n covered his face, he was doomed, every single teacher he had had hated him and.....

"Argent d'nur, your under my command "

His heart sank as he recognized the voice, hanna lector, the history and strategy teacher, the oni woman stood wearing a chest plate and something similar to a Roman helmet with an attached mask that was up at the moment and with a giant Aztec style sword over her shoulder

"Ah and I see the human is among our ranks..."

Andromeda cut her off
"Yeah, and we're glad to have some extra fire power in our battalion "

The edge of lector's mouth almost hinted at a grin but she kept her face almost completely devoid of emotion
"We shall see, now let's get this motley group ready for war"

She led them towards a large building with an axe and sword insignia above the door
"Welcome to the armory, grab a weapon and armor, you'll need them, grab what you are most comfortable fighting with, you'll need To be ready for battle "

Y/n searched a bit before finding the same type of chain blade he had used in the sparring before, he also found a set of armor that covered most of him, it was an odd green metal, one arm got convered while the other only had a gauntlet, it had a chest piece and legs with a sort of Metal links hanging around his waist

Andromeda shouted from the back sounding annoyed
"Where's the guns?"

"There are no guns in the war games, don't worry when classes resume to normal you will no longer be an army but hunters"

"Good, I never wanted to be a solider"

The snake like girl laughs
"You know hunters still get called int wars right?"

Andromeda threw a fire ball at her but she dogged laughing

Y/n sighs as he pulls on his helmet looking like a knight from hell, fittingly so he imagined

"This is gonna be a long day"
