Chapter 3: Reunion? (Preboot)

[Y/N's POV]

I tried. I tried so hard to figure out if Niko was here. But no one took me seriously. And by now, I have no hope anymore. I'm just walking around for no reason. Niko is gone, The World Machine was probably just toying with me. I started to feel tears roll down my cheeks, I'm sad. I'll never see Niko again. I don't know why I even bothered

It was all pointless.

[Niko's POV]

"Hey, Mama? Is it alright if I go on a walk?", I asked, I was bored and I wanted to go outside and do something!

"Sure, just don't stay out too long, alright?", Mama replied.

"I won't!"

I went out the front door and started my journey! I always loved just going around the village! It was so cool here!

...It was cool in the other world too, though.

Now I was just thinking about [Y/N] again. I'm trying to believe it wasn't just a dream, but it seems so much like a dream. But it also feels so real! It's so conflicting and confusing...

Anyway, I continued walking around, and eventually I bumped into someone, they just looked up at me for a second, and then glanced away and kept walking, it looked like they were sad.

"Excuse me, are you okay?", I asked them

...

[Y/N's POV]

That...

That voice... could it be...? Did I actually find them?

"...Niko?"

[So, it seems they have finally found eachother.]

[I'm... really glad about this.]

[It's a miracle that this all lined up so perfectly.]

[I hope this doesn't go wrong.]

Authors Note: Hey guys! i'm sorry this chapter is so short. I wanted to write more, but I was busy today, so I thought I'd just write a bit so that the story can atleast have a semi-daily basis! If any of you have tips or ideas for the story, I'd be glad to hear them!
