Chapter 4: A True Reunion (Preboot)

[Y/N's POV]

"Niko...?"

I couldn't believe my eyes... was it really...? Had I found Niko?

"Niko... is that you?"

[Niko's POV]

Wait, what? How did they...?

Wait...

Oh my gosh...

"...[Y/N]?"

They looked shocked after I said that. But then relieved, Like they had finally found something they had been looking for. And as far as I knew, they had. It was me.

"Niko... I've been... I've been looking for two days now... I just wanted to see you again..."

All for me? I was shocked. Partly because [Y/N] was here, but mainly... all for me? Why?

By the time I had looked back up, [Y/N] was crying...

"[Y/N]? are you okay?", I asked nervously.

"Am I okay? Of course I'm okay, Niko, I get to see you again." [Y/N] said, weakly smiling.

"...Hey, [Y/N]?", I ask.

"Yes?"

"I... I missed you too.", I said sadly.

"Niko, can you promise me something?", [Y/N] said.

"What is it?"

"Can you promise me... that we'll stay friends?"

"Why are you even asking that? Of course we will.", I said happily.

[Y/N] gave me a smile that said "Thank you." and then got up.

"I... gotta get home, it's getting late.", They said,

"Oh, yeah, I should probably get home too", I responded.

Before we went our ways, we went in for a hug.

On my way home, I decided to make a new promise, though!

I truly would stay friends with [Y/N], no matter what.

-ONESHOT: AFTER SOLSTICE-

Authors Note: aaand, that's the prologue, don't fret, the story is far from over!

but I have a question. I plan on having a lot of POV changes from now on, but hypothetically, if i had to, which character should the POV stay on? Niko or [Y/N]? Personally I'd say Niko, but i'd like to know you guys' opinions! Have a nice day!
