ONCE SKYLAR GOT HOME FROM the cemetery she immediately went up to her room. her mother knew not to bother her, she needed her space which she completely understood. she ended up taking a shower, which turned in to another crying session

back in vancouver, charlie was in booboo and skylar's apartment
"hey, is sky here?" charlie questioned as soon as booboo answered the door. he quickly walked in and went to her bed room, only not to find her there. he walked back out to see booboo leaning on the wall "where is she? s-she isn't answering my messages"
booboo was about to respond but charlie cut him off "d-did i do something?" charlie questions as he paces around the living room
booboo sighs "charlie. charlie" booboo said trying to get his attention "she's not here"
"well clearly, she isn't in her room" charlie said as he points to her room
"n-no. i mean she isn't here in vancouver" booboo answers
charlie stopped pacing immediately "what"
booboo sighs "she told me not to say anything, but i can't watch her push you way like she did to me. charlie you found a way to help her sing again when i couldn't" booboo watched his face fall "she's always happy when she's around you. you two wrote a song about your relationship without even realizing it. you're epic for her and she deserves someone like you" booboo said with full truthfulness "even though you still haven't asked her to be your girlfriend" booboo chuckled softly
"where is she?" charlie questioned sadly
"she's in los angeles. today's her father's birthday...and the day he died"
and with that charlie left the apartment and booked the next flight to los angeles

it was around five in the afternoon when skylar found herself in her room, all lights turned off, in front of her were old family videos, she hesitated on playing them but eventually she did
mark cameron appeared on her screen, he was carrying little fussing skylar who was only a few days old. mark was rocking her softly in his arms. genevieve was filming, mark looked over to her and he placed a finger on his lips, signaling for her to be quiet
"she just fell asleep" mark whispers as skylar felt her eyes water
"well isn't this the cutest thing i've ever seen" genevieve whispered in the background
"my little sky is the cutest thing i've ever seen" mark smiled softly
"don't let dani hear you" genevieve chuckles softly
"my little dani" mark smiled softly as he continued to rock baby skylar
skylar on the other hand had tears rolling down her cheeks. she was startled by a knock coming from her bedroom door, it slowly opened
her eyes squinted slightly from the lights, but as her eyes started adjusting to the light she made out the person who was standing at her door
"charlie?" she questions sadly as her heart drops
charlie quickly shut the door as he walked towards the girl, taking a seat next to her. he wrapped his hands around her, pulling her into his chest. at that moment skylar broke into tears
"it's okay" he whispered softly as he ran his hand through her hair "i got you"
charlie glanced back up at the screen, mark was speaking into the camera as he held a sleepy skylar
"how is it that when she's in your arms, she immediately stops crying and knocks out" genevieve questioned
mark glanced to the camera before looking down to his daughter "because she's a daddy's girl already"
at those words, skylar held onto charlie a bit tighter
"absolutely not"
"sorry sweetheart" mark joked to genevieve before starring down at his daughter "daddy loves you" he whispered softly as he kisses skylar's chubby cheeks "always, i'll always love you"
