was the promise we

never kept

someday we'll

have it all

someday we'll

be happy

but i didn't want to

wait

for someday

to be able to

smile

and i don't think

you did

either

someday it will

all be worth it

but what if it

wasn't worth it

what if

it was all for

nothing

all of the struggling

all of the tears

i broke my promises

to you

and you broke

yours to me

it's a good thing

we never got far

enough along

to make vows

because we would've

broken those too

and it's okay

because some things

aren't meant to

be

like you and me

and no matter

how hard

we tried for our

"someday"

we didn't have the

will

to see it through

we were

puzzle pieces

that didn't fit

quite right

and i learned from

you

i loved you too

i can't deny that much

but in the end

you can't force

puzzle pieces

that don't match

together

so we stopped

forcing it too

maybe we should've

fought harder

changed ourselves

for the purpose of

having our

"someday"

but if we had

changed

we would not have

had what we had

reckless and wild

stupid

we were young

we still are

we have forever

to find our

someones

and somedays

i just wish
