Marinette had been attending Gotham Academy for two months. She had been paired for a project with her classmate, Damian. She didn't think much of him, just a quiet child who valued his independence. So she didn't mind having him as a partner. They were working at his when suddenly the door was banged open, and in walked a man with a gun, a casual expression on his face. When he saw her though, he was obviously surprised, tossing his gun behind him in a useless attempt to hide it. He tried to think of something to say, but he knew nothing could cover what was just witnessed. So eventually, he just said,
'For protection! My name's Jason!' He got a nod in response.
'Well Jason, I gotta say, that was killer.'
