"I'm okay, Dad" she murmured into his chest while he squeezed her. Her mom swatted her father playfully on the arm "My turn" she said, sniffling and pulling Samantha into her arms.
"You've obviously met Adam?" she asked her parents, stepping back to grab his hand.
"We've met" her mom smiled kindly at Adam while her dad gave him a loud slap on the back. Adam winced but didn't budge and gave Samantha a comical look of terror. She couldn't help but laugh before she remembered.
"How's Moore?" she asked with concern.
Scoffing, her dad grunted "Never mind him" when her mom chastened him he cleared his throat "He'll make it. Jamie aimed for the shoulder. He's being looked at right now"
