Chapter Forty-Two 🎭 Required Reading 🎭
"So how are we gonna do this?" Lydia asked as Florence and Parrish pushed a couch off to the side. They were at Florence's old apartment for Lydia's training and Florence and Parrish has spent the last hour or so pushing furniture out the way and bringing in some workout equipment.
"Well, we're gonna explain everything you need to know while you and I spar a little as we go." Florence said and Lydia nodded and took a deep breath, "If you want you can watch Jordan and I fight, just to see the basics-" Florence said but got cut off when she felt Parrish quietly walk up behind her.
Florence reacted before he could even do anything and she quickly grabbed his arm. She elbowed him in the chest before slightly twisting his arm and kicking his legs out from under her. He fell to the ground and groaned before looking up at her, "How did you even know what I was going to do?" He asked and she shrugged slightly.
"Did I forget to mention I was trained to fight blind?" Florence asked as she held her hand out to help him up, "Kinda left that piece out." He said and she hummed slightly before he moved to stand off to the side. Florence turned back to Lydia who seemed like she was psyching herself up making Florence's smile softly.
"I'll be going easy on you until you're skilled enough." Florence said and Lydia took a deep breath before nodded. "Alright, let's go." She said and Florence nodded slightly before grabbing Lydia's arms. "Arms up, like this." Florence said holding Lydia's arms in position as Lydia nodded, "You can block attacks to your face and your head while always keeping your eyes on your enemy." Parrish said and Florence nodded in agreement before raising her eyebrows at Lydia.
