AANG'S POV:

"Ok, what's the makeup routine?" I asked, grabbing an apron and throwing it on her. She put it on and I tied it behind her neck. "A full face of foundation, concealer, et cetera, mascara, use my eyelash curler, eyeliner but no wing, and just brush my eyebrows." I nodded and opened her makeup box. Wow, that's big. "Which foundation do I use?" She looked in it as she grabbed a scrunched and pulled her hair back quickly. She combed it out of her face so I didn't get any makeup on it.

"There should be a miniature box in there labeled 'dance recital.' It has everything you need. Do you even know how to do makeup?" I rolled my eyes and fake scoffed. "Don't underestimate me, Katara." She smiled as I grabbed a beauty blender and put some foundation on it, gently dabbing it onto her skin.

"What song are you doing? Is it a group thing?" She shook her head. "I'm doing 'Leaving my Love Behind.' It's a a solo. I don't think we have any groups besides the little kids who are like 7 and 8." I nodded. "Great, sounds amazing, I have no idea what that song is because I've been missing for 10 years so let's put it on now." She giggled and grabbed her phone.

"What're we doing with your hair?" She closed her eyes as I started putting foundation on around them. "A mid-hun. Come on, Aang, we don't have much time." I nodded and picked up the pace. "Quick, uh, call someone and tell them to pack your bag. I know you're staying there overnight." She smiled and rolled her eyes, opening them again.

"You're still smart after 10 years of kidnapption." I rolled my eyes. "That's not a word." The phone started ringing and Katara picked up. "Suki, babe, get your ass over here. I need you to pack my bag right the hell now." I put down the beauty blender and used my hands to blend in the foundation a little bit better. "What? You didn't leave yet? Katara L'eau, I am disappointed. I'm on my way. Finish your makeup and hair." Katara smiled and giggled a little bit. I grabbed her concealer and quickly opened the bottle.

"Come on, hurry up, Suki. We don't have all day." Suki scoffed. "I am going to kill you after the recital. Hurry the hell up, I'm at the Starbucks." Katara nodded and said a quick goodbye before hanging up. "Hurry the hell up, you heard the woman!" I laughed and blended in her concealer. (Listen I'm literally a piece of shit at makeup so just- just bare with me 😭)

"You and Suki are still friends?" She raised her eyebrow and closed her eyes. "Uh, yeah? I'm still friends with the whole Gaang, and everyone else we know." I smiled. I'm so in love with this girl. "Wow. That's amazing. Anyways-" we both laughed a little bit and Katara opened her eyes, looking into mine as I grabbed the mascara from behind me.

"You're so beautiful. You don't need all this makeup," I grumbled. She smiled softly at her. Fuck I love her so much. "Not this again. Aang, I told you, I have to have on a full of makeup or I'm not allowed on the fucking stage!" I rolled my eyes. "Well, that's just about the stupidest rule I have heard in my whole life. Because you are so beautiful and you don't even need all this makeup." She raised her eyebrow at me. "The stupidest rule you've heard in your 14 years?" I rolled my eyes. "Let's not go there." She giggled at me.
