Chapter 59

Manik's POV

Where was she?? Oh, God!! I hope she is alright.

I went to look in Mahi's room. But she was not there. I was getting scared and I looked for her in every nook and corner of the house. Now I really panicked.

Where has she gone? Was she hurt so much by what happened?? Did she really think that I kissed her thinking that she was Myra?? 

What do I do now??

I called the gatekeeper to ask if she went out, but he said only the Malhotra brothers left

Could she have gone out while sleeping??

Oh yes!! But where could she go?? The garden??

I rushed out and took a round of the garden looking for her and finally I saw her.  Relief washed over me. I was looking for her everywhere and she was sleeping on the same big flat rock. I rushed to her and saw her tear-streaked face.

Oh, my God!! What have I done??

She must have been hurt like hell. I don't pknow how would the kiss that we had shared, would affect her.

I could not let her sleep there in open. It was too cold out there. Though she was wearing a warm jacket, still she would have died out of cold. I tried to pick her up but she resisted.

" Shhh... Roshni, it's me, Manik. Calm down. I am taking you inside.

I said and picked her up, taking her inside. She snuggled more into me and placed her face in the crook of my neck. I was getting affected by her simple act, I didn't want to do anything foolish and hurt her anymore. So I ran inside taking her in my arms. I made her lie down on her bed and covered her with a quilt and came to my room.

It was half past eleven and no one was back till now. What was going on??

After about 15 minutes, Chachu and Mihir came back. Mihir was carrying a bag with our logo on it.

After a few minutes, Chachi and  Mahi also came back with some shopping bags. I went to meet them.

" You all had gone shopping? Like seriously? "  I asked.

" No, we had not gone shopping but saw a few things and got them. You are not a woman, so can't understand this. Why have you not gone to sleep?? You must be tired at least, I am and really want to hit the bed. " She said and went to her room.

Everyone was tired and sleepy so they went to sleep. I came back to my room and kept thinking about her.

It was morning and everyone was busy getting ready as if it was not a stupid competition but the most important event for our family.

I wanted a chance to get to meet Chachi and Roshni. But they all were getting ready. Chachu, Mihir and I were ready and waiting for them.

After about twenty minutes, three of them came out and they all looked beautiful.

" Megha, I have started having some pain i... "  Chachu was saying.

" You have already used all your excuses to date. I know you must not be feeling well. C'mon Mehul, grow up. It has been about 27 years and you are still the same. No more excuses. I am going. If you don't want to go, then stay here. " Chachi said.

" Of course, I am going with you," Chachu said.

I looked at Roshni, she looked like an epitome of beauty, wearing that pink lehenga, which I wanted her to wear. I was right, it suited her so well.
