CHAPTER 6 - BABY

ATHARV'S POV

"Hi Atharv " said non other than Mahi, my mother's childhood best friend's daughter.

Since my childhood this girl has been behind me. She is the most snobbish person I have ever met. She thinks of herself to be the most beautiful girl on earth whereas she puts tons of make up on her face. I had told her many times that i am not interested in her but she is adamant on making me like her.

I came back to reality when I felt a someone hugging me.

Oh god this witch is hugging me!!!

I pushed her so hard that she fell on the floor.

"Ouch" She hissed

A giggle escaped from Shanaya's mouth.

The main thing is that I can't treat this Mahi harshly as my mother loves her a lot so I have to apologize to her now.

How does my mother even like her??!!

"Oh I am so sorry Mahi I did not mean to push you it's just that I was surprised by the sudden hug and you also know that I don't like people hugging me" I said in an overly sweet voice and helped her get up

Arggggh!!! Only for you Mom I thought

"No no it's ok" She said in her sugar coated voice but somewhere I could sense annoyance in her voice.

"You know Atharv I missed you a lot" she said seductively and started moving her finger on my chest.

Ewww!!

I shoved her hand of my chest and maintained some distance between us.

"Me too" I said while signaling Shanaya to take this women out of my room

"Mahi let's go downstairs as I think breakfast might be ready" said Shanaya

"No I will go down with Atharv " said Mahi

"No Mahi you go down fast or else the food will get cold and it will take some time for me to freshen uo" I said

"Ok if you say so" She said and gave me a seductive smile and went downstairs with Shanaya

This is terrible just terrible now only Kiana can uplift my mood , I need to meet her I thought and went to the washroom .

I quickly came to the breakfast table and saw my dad , mom , Shipra aunty who is Mahi's mom, Shanaya and Mahi sitting on the table.

"Good Morning everyone " I greeted

"Good Morning " everyone said

"Oh my god Atharv you have become so handsome " said Shipra aunty

I just smiled at her as I did not know how to react on this sentence

I went to take my seat next to Shanaya when my dad told me to sit beside Mahi

Not again !!!

I could see Mahi getting excited on hearing this and having no other option I sat beside her.

We all started having our breakfast and in between that Mahi was constantly trying to start a conversation with me.

"Atharv why don't you take out Mahi and show her our city" said my mother

What no!! I want to meet Kiana I thought

"Not today Mom as I have to go to Sid's house. We have to complete a project"

Wow what a nice excuse, I am proud of myself

"Do it tomorrow then" said my mother

"No mom actually the submission date is tomorrow "
