"hello?"

"quinn?"

"taylor, you shouldn't be calling me." quinn said.

"i know, i know, but...i just need to talk to my big brother." she replied.

quinn sighed. "look, i know jack did you wrong. and i know that you didn't deserve it, but he's my brother."

her lip quivered and she inhaled sharply. "quinn. please."

"okay. alright. fine. come...come over. the boys aren't here right now. trevor is, but jack and luke aren't. i'm sure that trevor would be okay, though."

"you're positive that he won't be...hostile?"

"have you ever seen trevor be hostile."

"no."

"okay then."

"alright. i'll be there in fifteen."

"bye."

"bye."

taylor hung up and put her phone in the cup holder.

she sighed and made her way to the hughes boys' house.

taylor exhaled and knocked on the door.

a minute later, it opened to reveal trevor zegras.

"taylor?" trevor furrowed his eyebrows.

"hey, trev." taylor said. "i'm here for quinn."

"why?" trevor furrowed his eyebrows.

"i just...i needed to see my big brother." she replied.

trevor nodded. "okay. yeah. okay. quinn! your little sis is here!"

quinn called back, but taylor couldn't hear what he said.

"he's coming now." trevor informed.

taylor nodded.

"um. so trev, how have you—."

"hey, taylor."

taylor pulled him into a hug.

"i really need you right now. i would've called luke but i'm pretty sure he's with jack right now. you know, they just had a game so—."

"yeah. i am with jack." a voice said.

taylor spun around to see luke and none other than jack hughes standing behind her.

and he was wearing her favorite beanie she had left there that long time ago.

taylor entered the hughes house with jack behind her.

she was wearing a beige trench coat with a white shirt and a pair of jeans underneath along with a black beanie to match.

she took off the beanie as she entered the house and jack helped her with her coat, hanging both on the coatrack.

"wow, this house is...i don't know it's gorgeous." taylor smiled.
