When will WP be a secure site?

The designers have mentioned it is in the pipeline, but how much more does a WP writer have to endure before it's a reality?

IMO, we need SSL (with NO HTTP elements) in our PM pages, our 'change profile' pages and, of course in our chapter editing pages. We are currently being tracked in all three of those by ad companies (if we don't have a blocker) but given the recent wholesale cloning of this website and every chapter anyone wrote, and its placement on two servers in Vietnam, that is small potatoes.

I do admire the writers who stick here and know how unsafe their work is and how much their privacy is compromised. I am one of them.

Writers have to be fiercely loyal to WP and eternally hopeful that the constant design changes, monetization and cyber attacks will eventually fade away until WP returns to its old self and we can all just get on with writing and sharing again, unmolested.

But, man, do we need a fuck of a lot of patience.

Anyone got any answers?
