What do we think of having only ONE genre for our books?

WP says we don't need two genres for our books anymore.

Do you think they're right? It doesn't matter what I or anyone else says about it anyway, they'll still do it.

Who knows, it might work for us writers.

We won't have to worry about our books getting in two different charts and giving our work double exposure, or two chances to sell it to different audiences, coz like, we've got loads of people reading our books, or we're selling lorry-fulls of them and we don't mind if our sales take a hit. Because WP is so great.

I mean, a non-fiction book about World War Two should ONLY be in the non-fiction category shouldn't it?

It shouldn't go into any other category like history or er...war.

That would just be stupid.

WP must be doing the right thing.

Hurrah!

PS

If you have genuine concerns about having only one genre for your book and aren't going to deliver a sarcastic rant like the one above, [:) then talk to Kevin. He is approachable and passes on things to design team. They may not be able to accomodate, but if you don't ask, you don't get, right?
