Archer Corporation heir ties the knot in secret summer wedding

NEW YORK — Fred Archer, 22 year-old son of billionaire, businessman, philantrophist, and CEO of American media company Archer Corporation, reportedly married college sweetheart, Jo Archer, privately in summer.
Archer and wife exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at a church nearby an Archer family estate in Upper East Side, Manhattan. With the whole state closing down due to an unprecedented spike in Coronavirus cases, the wedding was only attended by Archer's long-time butler and friend, but it is confirmed from Archer's Instagram post that members of the couple's families also witnessed the sacred exchange from their homes through private live-streaming.
Limited information is known regarding the identity of the new member of the Archer clan. Photographs of the intimate wedding are shared along with the official statement released through next month's issue of Epicentra, an Archer-owned publication, but much of Mrs. Jo Archer's image is hidden. According to sources, the couple wishes to retain her privacy, citing safety reasons.
In contrast to previous highly publicized Archer weddings, the summer nuptial is remarkably discreet and low-profile. In 1995, the wedding between Connor Archer and pharma heiress Geraldine Schafer of Schafer-Robinson Pharmaceuticals, was attended by thousands of invitees ranging from family members to business colleagues, celebrities and notable politicians. The lavish ceremony was exclusively covered by Vogue, and the wedding is remembered to be the biggest union between two of the richest American heirs to date.
In 2012, Geraldine Schafer was killed in a deadly private jet crash while returning from a holiday on a family's private island in the Bahamas. The crash killed a few other members of the Schafer family, including Schafer's mother Josephine and her cousin, former model and actress Eva Stevenson.
Archer's father, Archer Corporation CEO Connor Archer, 72, is reportedly in talks to step down from the position following an undisclosed major health crisis in 2017. It is expected that Archer, the only child of Connor and his late wife, will take over—although, sources have reported that the majority of the company's stakeholders is more in favor with appointing Harvey Castillo, current COO of Archer Corporation, as Connor Archer's successor, noting Archer's young age and lack of experience in the business.
