Ten days Later 

It has been very stressful for the past few days with meetings, presentations, and everything going on but since the incident with hope after the meeting. I have been trying my best to avoid her as much as I can but it seems to fail every time

Her best friend Rebecca came to visit us a few days back and has been staying with us ever since.

She seemed like a kind girl only god knows how a girl like her ended up with an arrogant ass like Hope.

"So...will you tell me what is going on with you" I broke out of my thoughts to see my best friend Kai staring at my face.

"Me? Well, nothing I am just a bit tired" clear lie, I could not figure out what was going on with me.

Me and My best friend Kai we were in a café with a cup of coffee trying to relax a bit after the hectic day we both had but this guy really won't let me be for a bit.

"Like I believe that" he sipped on his coffee while looking into my eyes.

"You fell for her didn't you" My eyes shot toward's Kai

"You crazy who will fall for hope she is full of attitude and the most annoying person I have seen in my whole life" I replied in defense

"well, I didn't even take Hope's name any yet you thought I was talking about her" A slight smirk was visible across his face.

Fuck this guy...

"who else would you be talking about except her at this point" I tried not to look towards his face.

"say whatever you have to so you can sleep at night "

He is my best friend but sometimes how he acts makes me rethink my life choices of making him my best friend.

"I don't say anything I don't mean" I glared at him

"Now is this your defense mechanism" he looked toward's me with a straight look

I am sure he might have sensed through my behavior that something is wrong with me these days and now if he sets his mind to it no one can make him think otherwise till he proves his point.

"what" I could feel his glare on me while I tried to drink my coffee without looking at him

"you can't avoid this forever you know it yourself Noah" He kept his cup of coffee on the table and I looked towards him matching his glare.

"I am not avoiding anything and as for hope she is just my business partner and an arrogant ass" I replied

"oh look who's saying" Kai mocked "As if you don't have any arrogance" he continued

"fuck you" I replied in an irritated tone "Aw sorry I am not so very single like you" he teased

"gosh what have I done in my past life to get a friend like you" No doubt I felt happy with him since the time we were kids but sometimes he behaves like a total jerk.
