That Doesn't Stop.

I really don't want to say anything
I'm to tired anymore
instead of drowning
I'm treading
but that doesn't stop the choking
or my lungs filling up
doesn't stop my breath from failing me
or my insides turning cold as they slow to a stop
and it certainly doesn't stop my heart from freezing

Lately it just seems
As if I have to struggle for everything
Because I know the truth
and yet, I don't want to
but that doesn't stop the tears brewing over
or my insides clenching up in fear
doesn't stop me falling to my knees to beg in prayer
or curl up in bed and cry to my hearts content
and it certainly doesn't stop my wishful thinking

So I keep dreaming
and yet it feels as if I shouldn't
but I put a smile on my face
and I keep hoping for the best
I'm just tired, I need rest
I want to close my eyes
I want to let out all the cries
I just want to hide
and I want to cry
but I can't
I can't show anyone how I really am
But that doesn't stop the stinging hot tears
or the sleepless nights
doesn't stop the agonizing pain
or how it hurts to breathe
and it certainly doesn't stop the heartache I feel coming

So I'm just going to keep fighting
and most likely crying
I just want to ignore the truth
not think about the future
it might not come out the way anyone wants it
but that doesn't stop my hope
or my dreams
Doesn't stop me from pulling you back
Or kissing you
and it certainly doesn't stop me loving you
