Description:

She is the secret service's trump card, a poison specialist, but also a young and cute girl with a sinister temperament. Contrary to her sweet and innocent appearance, she can complete any tasks without the slightest hesitation. One day because of an incomplete black magic, she was sent into the body of a girl who was deemed as a waste of resources. What kind of change will she bring to this continent?

A certain bitter and hateful Prince says, "I believed she was weak and easy to bully, therefore I broke off my engagement. Only, I didn't expect she is a poisonous shrew. I made an error of judgment."

A certain Crown Prince deeply sighs, "She is such a sexy evildoer! Obviously, she has a frail and tender body, but I wasn't able to overtake her..."

Finally, a certain Ancestor hit the nail on the head, "She is just a bit two-faced!"

She answered, "You're just a big pervert!"

A certain Ancestor carried her into a room. "Then, you are meant for me! A two-faced and a pervert, that's a perfect match!"

This book was one of my top favorites for a while until the releases became slower, but anyway, it's still pretty good. Many MCs boast of being second to none in this and that, but I feel that Ning Xuemo, the MC of this novel, did it in a way that was less arrogant and not just for the convenience of certain plot developments. For now, she's not some kind of OP MC with every kind of power. But that's alright because she has tons of her modern life knowledge to help her, and she is starting to slowly get more powerful in her cultivation. She's one of the few cultivation novel MCs that I wholly love without picking too many faults.

The plot of the story started off with a bang with all this excitement going on, and then it slowed down a little when the author was unnecessarily stretching the word count, but it picked up again. Ning Xuemo was a little unpredictable at times, and I like that because she usually surprised us in a good way. Back when I was too impatient to wait for updates, I actually went ahead a few hundred chapters by google translating the raws. The quality of the machine translator wasn't the best (obviously, when is google translate ever good?) but I understood enough and the plot was a wild roller coaster of emotion. But I find that to be a good thing because if I really want to read a light, easy novel, I can simply find plenty of those is a sea of hundreds. I've already have quite a few of those that I'm reading. This is one of the ones I keep reading to give me feels. And it's working.

For a while, I wasn't really sure who exactly the Male Lead was. I had my suspicions about one guy, but then another guy popped up and made me confused (but I'm no longer confused anymore, I know who it is). There were a couple of guys I wouldn't have minded being the Male Lead because surprisingly, they were actually quite interesting and not like those completely stereotypical XianXia secondary male leads. If Ning Xuemo had ended up with any of them, I would have been alright with it. But at the point in the story where the translations on Novel Updates are currently at, her love life is pretty wild.

This book is definitely recommended to people like stories with some cultivation and a super slow romance (not Posion Genius Consort slow though). The MC and the ML are more at the love-hate stage right now rather than completely ignoring each other. But maybe calling it a love-hate relationship in the latest chapters would be a bit of a stretch since she genuinely doesn't like the Male Lead right now. And I'm glad for that or I would have lost some respect for her if she forgot all her dislike for him just because he happens to be drop-dead gorgeous. But from what I've seen in the later chapters on the machine translation (which wasn't so bad), their relationship does get better and spicier.
