One of the best aspects about Wattpad is the community factor. Meeting people, making friends, entering the contests, interacting with readers. Much of this can be found under the community tab on the menu bar. Clicking on that brings another drop down menu to life.
You'll find the Clubs that I've previously mentioned in this guide, and will go into depth in another chapter because they're so huge. So much magic can be found in the clubs, but they also come with a warning because people gonna people. The Wattys winners can be found here. Writing Contests is just what it seems, they're the official contests of Wattpad, excluding the Wattys since they get their own page. Writers is a portal of goodies for writers. And finally JustWriteIt is Wattpads version of NaNoWriMo, but year round.
So skipping the clubs for now, let's check out the wattys button. Since the 2018 Wattys haven't yet started at the time of me posting this, this link takes us to the winners of the 2017 Wattys. I'll talk a little more in depth about the Wattys in the next chapter, but this is an overview of what you can find under their section.
As you scroll down, you'll see all the categories that Wattpad used for that year and those who won it. These categories do often change each year, so what worked for 2017 might not be there in 2018 and beyond. In the case of 2017 there were: The Originals, The Riveting Reads, The Breakthroughs, The Newcomers, The Storysmiths, and an award for Wattpad's Tap app. Each category will explain what they were judged by and you can scroll through all the winners.
