Nightmares

I see the shadows creep. . .

No longer can I sleep.

No one said it was easy,

The road to success has it steeps.

What do you do,

When all you can do is weep?

Oh, look there's a peep!

They tried stealing my work,

Now let's see what they will reap.

Nothing but a deep long sleep. . .

My nightmares are,

Wolves in sheeps clothing,

The shepherd is knowing,

But foolish to think,

The wolves won't become controlling.

I try opposing!

But the wolves bite and have me dozing. . .

Where am I?

What's happening?

Everything's spinning and turning,

My stomach slowly churning.

My control is gone!

I feel withdrawn. . .

I let out a yawn,

And realize it is now dawn.

My nightmares feel so real.

They force me to kneel.

They make no sense,

But at the same time they do.

It's perfect sense,

Has me tense.

It'll become real.

I don't want to admit,

What I'm hiding with pretense.

Nightmares

They're just shadows of your fears.

Let the light in and they all disappear.

Nightmares

Only irrational thinking,

That has your heat sinking.

Lift the anchor,

Fight that fear. . . !

A nightmare is only an excuse,

To give you a reason,

To push you away from your desires.

Nightmares

An excuse to not want to make reality a dream. . .
