you're pulling pages from her stomach, fingers shouldn't be that deep in ribs, Hands slipping through flesh trying to grip a lung. Puppeteering limbs, she shakes. And I cough up something guttural and unkind. A finger finds her spine, she snaps.
She breathes.
One day she will again.
Without anyone's hands stained red
And up to the elbows.-
I think I like it better when boys kiss.
Let me be pretty like him.
Please let me be as pretty as him
