Whitebeard sat in silence as the first division commander explained the situation

He stared down at his unofficial youngest son, who was currently being supported by Ace who ignored all of his brother's protests of being fine

It was clear that the straw-hatted brat was in pain, despite his efforts of hiding it, Whitebeard could still tell how much the boy was enduring

He sighed before calling out

"Set sail towards Kurosu-Jikan island once again!"

As soon as those commands were spoken, the crew started moving around and changing the course to the island

Luffy's mouth opened slightly at the sudden order

Whitebeard chuckled

"I'm not letting you die in my hands, brat" Whitebeard grinned

Luffy just returned the grin

"I'm not dying until I become the pirate king, old man"

Whitebeard laughed while the other two present facepalmed with a hidden smile

They carried on chatting until a cannonball suddenly landed in the water beside the ship

The floor trembled as more cannonballs were heard

As everyone turned to the side

They saw dozens of ships that were coming closer

The ships got closer as a man yelled out

"WE'RE HERE FOR YOUR HEAD! WHITEBEARD!"

Whitebeard simply laughed and a fight broke out

Luffy found himself beside Whitebeard again, just like last time, he was not allowed to fight

Though this time he didn't complain much

He still felt like his insides were slightly burning and Luffy could feel that his Haki had weakened a concerning amount

Luffy peacefully watched as the Whitebeard pirates completely annihilated the opposing group

It was then that he felt a hidden presence approaching him

By the time he turned around, he was hit very hard in the abdominal and knocked to the floor on the deck

Luffy swiftly got up and dodged many attacks from the apparent 'captain' of the enemy pirates

"Who might you be?" asked the captain "Whitebeard's new bear cub or something?" the captain asked amused

"None of your business" Luffy spoke out bitterly

"Now, now, I'm the captain of the Death Rose pirates, you should respect me, brat" the captain asked slightly pissed

"Okay, and?" Luffy was getting bored

"Look brat! I am worth 45,000,000 berries! I could slit your throat anytime I'd like, so you better shut up and fear me!" the captain put his sword up to Luffy's neck

Luffy remained completely calm

The captain was about to say something else when he suddenly became engulfed in fire

A threatening voice spoke up from behind

"Don't you dare even think of touching my brother" Ace pulled Luffy into a protective hug

The captain screamed in pain as his body was being burned into ashes

The rest of the crew just watched from the sidelines, some sweatdropped at the protectiveness of their second division commander

The fight subdued as the opposing crew retreated

"Oi Ace! you didn't have to do that! I could protect myself just fine!" Luffy complained

"You're injured, dumbass!" Ace scolded the younger male

"I may be injured, but I can still kick their asses just fine!" Luffy responded

Ace just sighed

"Just please, sit still until we get to Kurosu-Jikan island, I don't want you getting hurt again" Ace spoke out

Luffy pouted childishly
