Playing Dress-up ~Tomarry~

Chapter 16 ✅

Harry shivered at the coolness of the wind from where he stood on the bank. He was standing in his swim shorts, the second task was going to start in a matter of minutes once the crowds had finished gathering. Speaking of which, was now.

Ludo Bagman pointed his wand at his throat, "Sonorus." His voice was then magically magnified for everyone to hear him. "Well, all of our champions are ready for the second task which will start on my whistle. They have precisely 1 hour to recover what has been taken from them. On the count of three, then. One... two... three!"

Ludo Bagman's whistle echoed along the shore. The crowds cheered as the champions dove into the water, Harry applied himself a bubble charm while smiling secretly to himself as he dove into the water, hissing a Parceltongue command. "Dabria! I need you to guide me to the person I am supposed to rescue, can you find them? And please keep your protective eyelids closed."

Many people didn't know but one of the pipes in the chamber lead to the lake, where Harry could very easily summon the snake.

Harry waited for a moment until he could see the basilisk. She nodded to him and swam off in the direction that she smelt the mervillage in. Harry followed Dabria until he got there, not once finding anything dangerous.

Dabria stopped a bit away from the village so as she would not be seen. Harry gave her a quick pet on the nose and swam towards where his captured person would be. When he found them... AKA Ron Weasley, he rolled his eyes. 'If this was the goblet's idea it seriously needs its magic checked.'

Harry looked around him, seeing the merpeople only made him cringe. They had eerie yellowish green and wild hair that stuck out in every direction because of the water. They held staffs with sharp looking prongs on the ends of them. Gulping inaudibly he inched closer to Ronald Weasley, preying that they wouldn't attack him. And thankfully they didn't, they only glared and stared at him.

Nevertheless, Harry soon got over his fear and untied Ron and carried him back towards Dabria who guided them back towards the start before leaving.

Harry swore that he would thank her when he got a chance to get back to the chamber of secrets. With that, he tugged Ron by the arm to the surface, when they broke the surface of the water Ron gasped and coughed the water out of his lungs.

Harry merely done away with the bubblehead charm, and swam towards the edge of the lake, Ron following closely behind him.

Harry pulled himself out of the water and held out a hand for Ron how grabbed it gratefully. "Thanks mate."

Harry gave him a small fake smile, "Your welcome."

Madam Pomfrey ran over to the two boys and wrapped, towels around them before rushing them off to the medical tent.

In the distance he heard Bagman shout over his sonorus charm. "Harry Potter has finished first, and in a record time of 48 minutes! He has acquired the full amount of forty points, bringing him up to -"

By this time the raven haired boy had stopped listening, he'd finished first and came out, alive and unscathed. That was the main thing and bonus, which he didn't object to.

A/N - Okay... I'm actually ashamed to publish this because of how short it is. But I do have a couple good excuses. So I have published a new Tomarry book called 'Stressed Out' it's based off my one of my oneshot chapters. Please go check it out and show it some love.

My second excuse is that I'm writing a black butler fan fiction and I'm really getting into it. So I really want to do it.

And the third excuse is that over my Easter holidays I'm taking law classes. Yes, you heard me right, LAW. So I have to get ready for that.
