Chapter 6// Determination

Aizawa POV

"Everyone change into your gym clothes and meet me outside"

I went outside first and I couple of minutes later a crowd of students arrived

When I saw that everyone was here I started taking "Today we're gonna have a quirk apprehension test"

"But what about the orientation, we're going to miss it"

*Sigh*

"if you wanna make it to be big leagues you can't waste your time on pointless ceremonies, I will be running my class the way I see fit"

I looked at them dead in the eye

"You've been taking standardized tests your whole life, and you've never used your quirk on them before, this country is still trying to act like everyone is born equal, not letting those with power excel, it's not rational, one day the ministry of education will learn"

I turned my head to one of my students "Kaminari you got the highest score in the entrance exam, tell me what was your furthest softball throw"

"89 meters... I think "

" now try using your quirk "

Kaminari comes forward and goes into the circle, I tell him anything goes as long as he's in the circle

He seems to be in deep concentration "hurry up your wasting time", he closes his eyes then proceeds to throw the ball with streaks of electricity behind it that came from his fingertips, the streaks of electricity went in a circular motion around the ball Propelling it forward

*FWOOSH*

I look at the device in my hand it read
1746 meters, that pretty impressive, I showed it to the rest of the class and they were all shocked

"That looks fun I wanna try" I hear the pink girl say,

"Getting to use our quirk as much as we want, now that's what I'm talking about"

So they all think this is fun, I see, I look at them with a cold face and say
" fun...... Is it?..... You have three years to become heroes here, and you think it's gonna be all fun and games.............
Let me tell you, IT WON'T, today you'll compete in 8 physical tests to determine your potential, whoever places last will be expelled immediately"

"WHAT?!?! " I looked at the horrified faces in front of me

"Like I said I get to run my class however I see fit and if you have a problem with that then you can head home right now"

Then the gravity girl, Uraraka if I'm not wrong, spoke up "but we just got here you can't send us home, it's not fair"

I am getting tired of this shit, my voice gets a bit louder as I speak "You think natural disasters are fair? what about power-hungry villains? Or catastrophic accident that wipes out cities?! NO! The world is full of unfairness, it's a heroes job to try and knockback that unfairness"

I look at my students once more "If you want to be a hero then you gotta push yourself to your utmost limit, for 3 years UA will throw hardships at you one after another, so go beyond Plus Ultra Style, Show me that it was no mistake that you got here"

Kaminari POV

The next test was the long run test I was up against bakugo

'Oh how I miss this'

Iida was at first place with 3.7 seconds, that is until my turn, I was up against bakugo who shot the DEADLIEST glare anyone could ever experience

We were both at the starting line waiting for Mr. Aizawa's signal, so I decided to talk to him "what up Baku-"

"OH SHUT UP! " seems like he's angrier than originally

"oh-ok" I ignored this common behavior and start warming up my lightning speed

Then we hear the signal "GO" immediately electricity flows through my body and I feel my hair go up, using this move with my quirk alone isn't gonna cut it, I made sure that my brain and eyes can keep up with me because if my eyes can't keep up then everything I see will be a blur and running more than 60 Miles per hour with a blurry vision isn't the safest thing to do

This move doesn't just make me physically faster it also sends electric waves to my brain so that it could keep up with my physical body, I've read a couple of books about the human brain and how it functions along with some books about electricity, that way I thought of how to speed my thought process without frying my brain

Already more than halfway through the 50 meters run I look back and see that bakugo has barely moved 3 meters

*Fwoosh! *

I got to the finish line with a trail of electricity behind me, I turned off my quirk letting my hair fall back and bakugo arrived 3 seconds later

After that Mr. Aizawa announced "Bakugo's time is 4.46 seconds and Kaminari's time is... 1.23 seconds " everyone seemed amazed, even I can't believe I ran 50 meters within a second,

We continue the test and I won quite a few of them, I also gave my classmates "tips" with their quirk, I told them things that they would originally figure out themselves long after the training camp, mostly because I felt a bit bad that I'm advancing because I was put in an advantage even though I know they were all better than me originally, Even Mineta, he is way better at using his quirk than I did originally and he was a lot book smarter than me originally as well

At the last part of the test with the softball throw again Deku does his thing breaking his finger and bakugo getting mad and yelling death threats, noting out of the ordinary

And just like that it was over I placed 1st bakugo 2nd and todoroki 3rd and midoriya placed last, he had a panicked look on his face but
Mr. Aizawa just said "Oh by the way I was lying, no one's going home"

Everyone except me Todoroki and Momo screamed """ WHAT?!?!! """ Momo looks at everyone casually and goes "you didn't know, I guess I should have said something"

Midoriya POV

After that our first day in UA was over, all of my classmates were chatting while fixing their stuff getting ready to go home

I can't help but think about one particular person in the class Denki Kaminari he just seemed to have it all going for him, he was strong not just with his quirk but also with his physical body I saw that in the apprehension test, he also always has some sort of book in his hand so it was safe to assume that he was also book smart

In one day I can already tell that competing with him won't be easy

There was also Todoroki, he didn't talk much but, come on he's the son of Endeavor not to mention he got into recommendations

And here I thought kacchan would be my biggest competitor but he didn't even bother taking a second glance at me, kacchan is the type of person to focus on people he thinks is the biggest threat, and seeing as he was always glaring at Kaminari says it all

I don't blame him tho kaminari has shown how strong he is even at the age of 15-

NO!

I need to stop thinking like this, I need to stop thinking lowly at myself,

All might chose me he, believes in me,
If I train hard enough I know One day I would be able to catch up to them
